I honestly don't believe he is dead. And if I was family I would rather the situation as it is now than having it at the back of my mind that he is dead and we didn't get to bury him. It's really, really sad.

Not all deaths end up with body available for funeral and burial. It is sad but that is the reality of life. The two drowned in the river and not the sea. If it were the sea, the bodies would have washed ashore after a couple of days. But for the river, the bodies could remain on the riverbed probably locked down by a mangrove. We lacked the equipment and personnel to have searched a wide stretch of the riverbed at the time of the drowning to have discovered the bodies for retrieval. It is the legal time lapse required in such circumstances that is preventing the declaration of their death for the proper mourning to be done for them.

The only chance of Castro and his girl-friend being alive is if they were abducted on the high seas by some pirates and taken away to Somalia or somewhere else for various reasons.

But even so, one is tempted to believe they might be killed by such criminals who could just rob them of their personal assets, however few.

We must also acknowledge that not all bodies of folks killed at sea reach the shores. However, I wonder why their boat haven't shown up anywhere else intact or in pieces.

The bodies of the passengers on the missing Malayan Plane believed to have crashed a few years ago have not yet been located anywhere. But the parts of the Plane are believed to have appeared on the shores around the area where the accident might have occurred. The latest of such findings of the Malayan Plane just happened a couple of days ago near the Coast of Africa.

So, where did the remnants of Castro's boat go? Did they all sink to the bowels of the Ocean?
