Thanks for reviving the spirit of Azonto.I hope the government would have the vision to support this creative initiative.I had always told myself that, if we were to be creative AZONTO would promoted and marketed easily for world consumption.But we rather know how imbibe even useless cultures from abraod but not how to sell what is good from us for others also to buy.AZONTO if taken seriously could provide a lot of jobs for the youth.There should be AZONTO clubs and dance competition at schools.There should be an official institution promoting and marketing AZONTO for local and international consumption and the government and ministry of tourism could help talented individual Ghanaian dancers to set up AZONTO training schools abroad.AZONTO is fun,AZONTO is easy to learn and do you know how many Europeans,Americans,Australians,Japanese,Canadians would enroll in AZONTO training schools or cgulture club to have fun and have something to kill their stress??? But perhaps it is only OSAGYEFO KWAME NKRUMAH that would have had the foresight to see AZONTO as a cultural weapon that is marketable and profitable.NKRUMAH was traelling with Ghanaian band abroad on state visits thereby promoting Ghanaian music and culture at the same time.Most of our people and leaders now in Ghana and Afrika now are cuturally dead.
