I woke up this morning feeling ambivalent. A simultaneous and spontaneous feeling of gladness and sadness...I ask myself why the dry hype and less buzz about fathers day but a seemingly wild and exciting pandemonium of celebration about mothers day. And I again queried myself rhetorically, What at all has fathers done to this generation to deserve this gross dishonour and disregard?. Is it true that mother's are better than fathers? Is it true that fathers are not responsible?
A father PLANTS a seed of sperm. The mother incubate it to produce a baby and many at times she is hailed forgetting that without a seed, there can't be a fruit. What a sick generation we live in? In Gods scheme of things according to Eph 6:1-2, fathers are first to be honoured and then mothers so that the children would do well. But what do we see today, the world has successfully omitted fathers out of Ephesians 6:1-2 so that all we see, know and appreciate are mothers. I mean not to be chauvinistic but I dare to say that many mothers are the cause of the seemingly disregard children exercise towards their fathers. 'Your daddy did this' and 'Your daddy said that'...And so what?. Is it the whole truth? What has daddy also got to say?. Friends the thing is, ever since we ate the fruit of good and evil, every man, not only fathers have evil in them. There is good in fathers and the heart of my write up is to encourage us all to see and honour the good in fathers. And to you little children be careful. if you haven't walked in the shoes of your father to know how it pinch, you better excuse him to walk barefooted. Never exercise yourself in great matters. Never correct upward. Be careful you don't become what you crictise and despise...Its fathers day, but I want to commend my mama for giving me a right spectacle to see the good in my dad(CHARLES WELLINGTON ARKHURST) to honour and serve him. And I thank God I didn't fail at that. My dad was a flawed individual perhaps just as yours. He was the type YOU would call irresponsible. But he was responsible in correcting and disciplining me(proper beatings), imparting courage and allowing us to serve God and that for me suffice. That HE BROUGHT me to the world alone is enough; EVERYTHING ELSE IS BONUS...not paying school fees, rent, medical bills etc, doesn't make your father an irresponsible one. After all, "WHAT A MAN CAN DO, A WOMAN CAN DO". PICK A PHONE AND CALL YOUR FATHER TODAY NO MATTER THE SITUATION AND WISH HIM A HAPPY FATHERS DAY...DO IT NOW AND SEE WHAT GOD WOULD DO IN YOUR LIFE.

There are some secrets men keep in marriage about unfaithful wives which tends to affect the responsibility of the men (psychologically).At times the situation doesn't allowed the man to call for divorce but have in his mind what his decisions are, and in the run affecting the children in the marriage or that unfortnate child who met the incident(mostly within pregnancy periods)when the man has unanswerably questions in his mind concerning a whoring or unfaithful wife.At times is painful to work and toil for a woman you just met along the way of your life and to be secretly unfaithful to you,look after her child or children and even inherit your properties.Meanwhile those kids may not be your biological kids.At times it feels to be good to look after your nephews too instead of rejecting them to follow this western laws of patrilineal inhertance since women of today are not trustworthy and marriage has become a business.Men need to be very careful.The family from the men and the men themselves would be stupid in thier life time If a man is not smart since he may be taken for GRANTED for the sake of ``MARRIAGE``.
