Tell her everything that transpired between the two of you and let him also tell your sister his version of the story. Please do not leave any stone un-turned. This is NEVER AN ACT OF VENDETTA. It is a must do ACT. I am not implying that the guy is a bad fellow. Just say, he was planning to migrate from the country and therefore, believed since he could not take you along with him in the instance, it was better to severe the relationship. Many have made decisions to the contrary with dire consequences. The woman left in Africa for ages as Visas to join spouses are not granted easily. Travelling abroad is also like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are going to get (FOREST GUMP). Success now or years later?

If the guy was simply going to be away for couple of months, then perhaps it will hurt. If you have decided to forget him already in your heart at the time of the abortion, that equally should not change. It will still hurt though. However, now he is back into your family. Blood is thicker than water they say. The same chemical attraction he felt for you most likely attracted your sister to him unless he actually went searching for her with fore knowledge.

Another strong point is also that if your relationship was not a closely guarded secret between the two of you, there will be those who knew about you two and who will get to know about the two of them later.

The position of telling your sister whilst at the same time telling your former what you had decided to do, will be clearing all future pains. It also does not mean automatic break.

Option two will be a fall off from the first. If the relationship between the two of you was a guarded secret between the two of you, your silence may test only your will power. You will then forever keep your silence or peace. You will see their children, you may be invited to their living room when back in Africa. Your silence may end up with a baby of two from this same guy in secret because you have become a guardian of a great secret - others will be easy to keep. If your sister get to know about you, then you will tell her about your past. "Naso the world be ooh!" All these could not happen and one day when you are all both very old, you will tell your sister, I kept this secret for the love I have for you. You would equally have got on with your life, found love, children etc etc. ARE YOU THAT STRONG?

I must stress this and this is my sole opinion that your break must never be in your heart a wound that could not be healed because of the aftermath. If this guy needed to travel and he did not know what would happen, it might have been a blessing for both of you in disguise.

It could have been extremely difficult if you had not actually aborted your pregnancy. That then would have been a case of your sister dating your baby father who may one day marry you if not her. Either way, the closeness of the family could lead to entanglements not presently envisaged and I still could see few babies from you as well for him.

To tell or not to tell will depend on your will power. You will be seeing your sister many times when back in the country or should you yourself travel abroad one day.

IF HE IS A PHILANDERER, we would not be reading this here. You would have bombarded your sister already with what she needed to know.
