To say you do not have the time to cook for your husband even on weekends says volumes. This means you will not also have time to relate to your husband at any level. This means the marriage is just in name.

The question is what type of marriage is that? Nobody is saying that women should not pursue careers but it must be balanced with their marriages. As human beings, God comes FIRST; no two ways about that. The next is your family before your job/career. You cannot neglect your marriage at the expense of your job.

What this lady is saying is dangerous. It will lead to problems in the marriage. Many marriages have broken down because the wife has placed her career above the relationship with her husband. Most often, the husband starts flirting with the maid and the end result will certainly not be good.

I am not saying women should always do the cooking; the husband MUST also help the wife with household chores. But to say you will not cook, I will not be in such a marriage.

Too many of the marriages that end in divorce in Nigeria comes from infidelities between husbands and the maidservants.Some Nigerian women are so reliant on maidservants that the maids ends up knowing the husbands more than them.After a while a friendship is developed between the maid and the husband based on kindness and mutual hatred for the neglectful wife.The friendship almost always develop into sexual relationship and the wife is replaced by the maid before she knows it.Then the new wife also goes and get her own maid.
