Yes, they were wrong to engage in sex but, there's a better way to discipline them without the entire congregation knowing about. It's tough enough being a teenager and this humiliation can damage a child's physical and emotional well being. You ought to know this if you're a 'counselor'.

In the Bible, it is said "God is our refuge..." that He is a go-to entity in times of trouble. When a person seeks 'refuge' you don't pursue him. The girl sought refuge with Mrs Obinim so under no circumstance should he continue beating her!
But at the end of the day, Obinim's behavior raises 'big' questions. How the 'poor' is seen and treated by the 'rich'. Obinim claims to be the provider for the boy's family so in his mind he 'owns' them and even disgraces them in public with impudence. Can Obinim do this to the rich members of his church?
Obinim, God is watching you. Your arrogance and presumptuous behaviors are gradually tipping their limits. A day is coming when your disgrace will be great! Remember King Nebuchadnezzar! You think you're on top of the world. Your 'oppressed' congregation continue to sing your praises; you continue to take accolades upon yourself insinuating that you either Christ, Christ-like or in a buddy relationship with Christ. For every pretender such is the beginning of their fall! If you remember Agrippa (or one of the Herods) who was cheered on as speaking with the "voice of God". God disciplined him. He will do same to you. I've started counting your days! Your day of Shame is coming!

The behaviour of the so called man of God or angel or whatever he callS himself is absolutely wrong, disgraceful and disgusting.Did Counselor Lutterodt really conclude that Obinim was right to discipline the children? What we have to take into consideration is where the discipline took place but not the discipline itself. That form of discipline might be right in the eyes of some people but certainly not right in my eyes.It is inappropriate to flog this children in front of the congregation. This is total embarrassment and degrading to those two children. This simply shows how uncivilized some people are.Did the parents really allow their kids to be humiliated in front of the whole congregation and social media? I feel sorry for those parents because, when the children grow old enough to understand the shameful ordeal they went through in the hands of Obinim whilst their mothers sat down and watch in support,I can certainly say that there is absolutely a big chance of rebellion against them.
