There was a research made by Oprah Winfrey and her team few years ago. In the research, they used black kids to choose between black and white barbie dolls and surprisingly, each kid chose a white doll. Some even cried when their parents persuaded them to choose the black doll. In photography, it's very easy to take a picture of a white or light skinned person than a dark colored person.
