I think it is that egoistic Lawyer Ampaw who is pushing the case. He, perhaps, hopes to hit a jackpot with that case, should his client win. Gyan would then be compelled to pay a lot to compensate the girl, and the Lawyer would have his cut.

Moreover, the same Lawyer is the person who claimed that he could prove that Asamoah Gyan had something to do with Castro's death. But up till now, we have not seen his evidence to that end.

So, it seems Lawyer Ampaw simply hates Asamoah Gyan, or sees him as a possible source of huge financial gain to exploit.

Now that the Lawyer's key witness, the former CID personnel, seems to be unreliably incompetent and unhelpful to Ampaw's case, I wonder how far the case could go.

By the way, does anyone know why that former CID personnel was interdicted? Was it because of this same case?
