We are living in a society ran by transactional leaders instead of transformational leaders. In the USA where l live, a politician or a political leader is the one who has discovered a need in the society and therefore offer himself a career in politics to help solve the problem. Such people have been in Congress or Senate for so many years with evidence of helping the people through thoughtful human centered policies. Again in the USA we have other people in politics who are already achievers in businesses and are there to ensure that policies and programs from Congress and Senate do not kill businesses which is the life of the society. This is not the case in Africa, the society is rather choked with unrestrained respect for leaders leaders who see positions in leadership as an avenue for self enrichment. Come to the USA and see how brains are working to come out with policies and programs to organise and utilize State resources to better the life of the people. Even in the Christianson, Africans look to the Pastor for everything weekend sermon whereas the whites look into the book to find the truth. Jesus even taught his disciples and called then friend hoping to see them do as he did. However every form of leadership in Africa is basically mediocre and massive exploitation of the public. We are all like sheep without shepherd scattered till the Lord returns. No wonders some celebrities can look into themselves and deliver assessment of the entire life of the society whiles at their doorstep they see the need for Africa to chart a paradigm shift in our quest for leadership. Men of God who must stand in the gap for the people because of God are even now interested in their personal honor from the leadership of men so they have kept mute and the people are suffering whiles in the days of Jeremiah and Isaiah they judged the leadership on behalf of God. Majid l have greater respect for you and l wish we meet one time l have a script for u.

An excellent general at the war-front is a leader, but might not be a good leader in the reconstruction after the battles are over. Governing takes another kind of leadership, indeed including some form of manipulation, to keep people following you as you work relentlessly with a team of committed groups of leaders at national and local levels in the interest of all.

Even at the war-front, during election campaigns, some manipulation always takes place. To motivate and to get people doing what you need to win battles and the war, you have to. If you do not win, you cannot put good ideas and what is for the common good into action. That is where leader is shown, winning elections by getting people to vote for and after winning, putting even those who voted against you to work to achieve goals you have set for the good of all, the nation.

Majid Michel is himself a manipulator. What does he think acting is? It is acting and that is what manipulators do. They present an illusion of reality and manipulate the emotions and thoughts of audiences.

Do not confuse your little understanding of reality for knowledge and wisdom. Reality is full of nuances and cannot be expressed in your simplistic uninformed terms.
