To all those trying to ridicule the practice of washing up after pooing... what's wrong with cleanliness? Even if you wipe until you bleed, toilet paper alone just doesn't cut it -- in an hour or so you begin to stink down there. What Muslims do and the best way to be fresh and stay fresh all day is as follows: 1) wipe normally, 2) then you wash up with just a dab of soap, 3) wipe dry, 4) then wash your hands definitely with soap, and finally 5) wipe hands dry or blow dry.

Of course at work or public toilet it’s just the regular wiping (step #1), and as soon as you can afford you follow through with steps #2 through #5.

Note: As a Muslim you don’t have to wash up five times a day because you pray five times a day.
