  Everyone has their own choice to make. She says she doesn't want poor guys so mr writer is better you keep your opinion to yourself. The writer has no right to call someone's child a bastard. I can see bitterness and petty.

I am not trying to play the race number but I'm just shocked somebody like her said those stupid and foolish words. She would grow to regret she said those when no man comes.All men will begin to be afraid because they fear she would only come and spend their money and go.

  This is a shallow, inward looking, unintelligent piece suggests backward ideas that all single women 30 and above are desperate for marriage. The useless piece actually call people by name and make claims that they are desperate for marriage. Probably the writer lives in their heads to know they are desperate. it also suggests that a woman must accept any rubbish guy just because ....I don't know... while the rest of Africa is moving away from patriarchy and encouraging women to aspire to higher things than marriage, ghanaians, especially the men, will do anything to embarrass a single woman in late 20s or 30s. .... .and woe unto the woman who dares to have a preference and get the nerves to be honest about it..... This rubbish piece is actually an answer to a lady in late 20s who had a preference in guys and actually dared to say it and this here is condescending, shallow, backwards, disrespectful and unintelligent. Such rubbish will never fly on a self respecting blog in Nigeria. But alas, the shallow prick who wrote this nonsense thinks he has shared wisdom and Ghanaweb helped him to insult women. Such condescending, presumptuous, arrogant but ignorant writer. Don't come and set me off this evening. Men cannot control their sexual urges to focus on developing themselves before marriage, so they intimidate, insult, shame and embarrass women to force them to accept their broke asses. So now the definition of a good woman is the one that puts up with a loser.
  
  History and the present have witnessed women and men who found true and beautiful love way into their 30s, 40s and even older. I haven't read so much nonsense in one article. ...whew....I pity the writer for his global display of ignorance. As you get older, your potential spouse pool gets better. You would have achieved something for yourself and the spouse coming into your life will also bring some achievement and the marriage will be built on mutual respect because you are both accomplished people. Who says poor, broke ragged husband is the only way to go? And who says when he finally finds success after sponging on a woman for so long, they enjoy the wealth with the women? Go and read about the starter wives of this world. Mmttcchheeww

  3dem your response did not address the issue either. Marriage is an institution established by God and it is only through Him and parental support and involvement that we find it very successful.

  My response was not meant to address any issue. It was to tell the writer to shut up and stop telling women who they should marry and when they should marry and what their values should be. My journey is for me alone no other person knows about it. Poverty works for some people, it paralyzes me, it drives me crazy so no, I can't marry a broke guy. If you want to marry me go and get a job, a profession or a skill and let's see what to because I have had also done my part. I always told God that and he never let me down.
  
  MYSELF, In any case if marriage is an institution ordained by God, then go back to God and let him make the choice for you......and if it is a choice between you and God then what business does the 3rd party writer have trying to use fear of age to scare women into accepting some broke ass guy? Or any broke and penniless guy comes from God? Now to address the issue: there are no hard and fast rules about marriage. Human beings and their marriage counsellors have made their own rules, forgetting that God created it and see what mess marriages are in now. If marriage counsellors knew anything, there would be no divorce (they have their uses though). If you want a good spouse, be honest with God about what you want and have faith that he will give you and he will bring you a spouse who fits so perfectly into your life that you will have little complains. We don't have a lot of such marriages because people are not waiting on God. According to the writer of the article, women will grow old and lose their beauty and no man will want them (fear mongering) so what's the use waiting on God to help you make a choice at 40? Accept anything with a prick!!!
  Be honest with your self as Miss Gee has been. Tell God about what you want and have faith in him and he will bring you what you want, but as to when, it may be in your 20s, 30s, 40s I don't know. What I know is that he has set his word above himself and he will look upon it to perform so it really annoys me when I see people, such as the writer, trying to use fear of old age to push women into marriages.
