My friend you missed the most important point in all that you have said about President Mahama. What is the purpose of political leadership? Every President must remember that the only measure of success is how true he or she keeps to the cardinal purpose of working to improve the lives of the people he or she is called to serve. Not once in all your narration did you attest to this. The NDC lost because it lost touch with the hopes and aspirations of Ghanaians. It became a self serving organization that took the people for granted, thinking their loyalty could be bought, and their sovereignty compromised through a rigged election process. This is what I see.

Quite unfortunately, the people he selected to handle state affairs were disappointments. It is therefore not a wander that these people even lost the votes of the people they represented. Let us all rally behind the new president because if Ghana becomes good, it will be for all of us. Conversely, if it becomes bad, we all will share until 2020 when we get to the polls again.
