What amazes me is why women who suffer abuse from spouses fail or refuse to take the appropriate steps to defend themselves such as contacting the police. In many instances when abusive spouses have the courage to seek remedy from abuse they chicken out in the final minute by failing to show up in court to prosecute. In addition, the women who do what I have indicated here tend to cite the love the spouse has for her children as excuse for their timid behavior that I think is stupid.
There is nowhere in the Holy Bible where God has commanded women to sacrifice their own lives for the love of her children by their father. What is a father for. I support Tonto Dikeh. I believe the law must be on everybody's side.

Well spoken. Abusers should be charged and named and shamed. We must support victims too by condemning this sort of behaviour!

When a spouse has low self-esteem, thus what's happened. You get no respect from your significant other, he knows you're not going anywhere for you aren't self sufficient, so he treats you lesser than your own pet.

When a spouse has low self-esteem, thus what's happened. You get no respect from your significant other, he knows you're not going anywhere for you aren't self sufficient, so he treats you lesser than your own pet.
There's no one to complain about, the police can't rent a place for you to live, they can save you from getting killed, and then what ? When a woman is self sufficient, nobody dares to treat her that way.
