You guys should understand the writer. Several portions of the article are repeated so some of you may have missed the conclusion of the matter where the writer says she will still remain chaste if given the chance again, but only requests more open conversations about the benefits and good sides of sex. This will erase the notion that sex in itself is evil. I am telling you from my experience where l have been unsuccessful in changing the attitude of my wife towards sex. I appreciate her for keeping herself for me until marriage but she has a very wrong idea about sex which even 3 years after is difficult to change. She fails to see it as a pleasurable and relaxing activity and always tries to avoid the activity and will not "participate" on the rare occasions when your boy is successful. More open discussion on the topic during early adulthood could have helped changed this torturing situation.

I still advocate for abstinence but with very open conversion on the good sides of sex

Happy marriage is not a direct consequence of chastity. Yes, whores who later marry in life after years of abuse of their private assets, surprisingly, enjoy very blissful marriage lives than otherwise expected.
As a Christian, I believe its best to remain 'pure' until marriage but under no means should anyone assume that just because you abstained from sexual relations before marriage, one is entitled to a reward of marital ecstasy.
The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; ....nor does food come to the hungry, but time and chance happens to them all.
Ease the rigidity of religion, learn from your mistakes n know that there's more to marriage than sex.

Yes, you honor God first for remaining pure until marriage, it also benefit you yourself when you take such bold decision and life it in a world where God values and principles are under attack. If you think you have not been fairly treated by been admonished to be a virgin, some prostitutes and HIV victims will tell you they had sex only one that landed into the kind of painful life they are now living right now. Friends, it is still the best decision to make living as a VIRGIN until. After all, heaven is the ultimate Goal. At 32, I m still a virgin and will remain until marriage. We do not conform to world standards of immortality, we expose them living GODLY LIVES. In fact, we are ambassadors of God in our communities.
