If, in pursuit of undeserving praise, or sudden ego-surge, one deviates from his or her real inner resourcefulness, and refuses to stay original, and reaches way far out to grab at other's shining coat-tail, that is what happens--a big fall in embarrassment.

Plagiarism is a grave offense in the academic and social circles of the enlightened. So, let KKD, or whatever his real name is, learn to appreciate that. It is even criminal in some places around the World.

And anyone who is prone to doing so may have a strong inclination to be a thief. Period!

Therefore, if anyone who wants us to believe in him or her as our leader, must stay away from such a behavior. We may feel insulated in Ghana from prosecution, if we cheat and plagiarize some outsider's literal work. But that should not encourage us to belittle the gravity of that academic dishonesty.

Only those who would surely ignore corruption by our leaders think plagiarism is okay or not a big deal. It is the same attitude that has entrenched corruption among our Political leaders and other officials.

We must learn to show moral fortitude for our posterity to live in Peace, fairness and honor.

Well said bro,its a whole lecture on speech writing and I presume they analysis posited points beyond all reasonable doubts that ,when lifting words or comments from others,you either quote it verbatim (upssima verba) and then acknowledge the person or paraphrase or carve it you own way not to look same,the former becomes plagiarized when overlooked.It becomes an academic theft which either holds or debars you from graduating and like what ocurredbecomes a debate by both foreign and the local media.It creats a certain level of mindset and demean us as country.These has been registered and recorded as history.we should not just gloss over it just because a mere apology has been rendered.The whole body or team should come out render an unqualified apology and promise never again will it happen or better still get the right guys for the job.This is a whole president's Secretariat and anything that goes from their domain should be well scrutinize and proof read and well edited.King KKD for long ,we can just gloss over and allow sleeping dogs lie oooh.Who knows the next bomb that would be unleashed. Even if President Addo-Dankwa or his speech-writer stole for us to do us good, we should be the ones to be proud of him for the good intention, rather than ridiculing.

In fact, "Plagiarism" is everywhere and in various forms including tangibles far hugest than this...plagiarism of technologies etc. I dare say that Africa has suffered far more plagiarism than any other people. The west copied lots including even buildings ditto ditto from ancient Africa.

Honestly speaking, I will be much consciously willing to engage in even technology plagiarism, not phrase plagiarism but even scientific or technological plagiarism for my people if it would help them, if it would advance their cause, and not care what others would say.
If we check, we would observe that almost the entire world owe their advancements mostly to plagiarism.
