They are not real and should not be taken literally. Jesus appearing in the clouds as referenced in the bible are all based on solar myths by the ancient religions and copied by the author of revelation. It's all about the "Unconquerable Sun" or "Sol Invictus"

Joe, the book of Revelation is copied from the Eyptian Mystery religion, and have nothing to do with the concept of rapture and the eschatology. Expand your knowledge beyond the bible to really understand that most of the writings are allegorical.
