You nailed it with precision Mel. I write good songs especially Gospel and I have soprano voice yet I prefer to be just a songwriter because I don't have many of what it takes to be a singer.astonishingly most ghanian singers ...

I write good songs especially Gospel and I have soprano voice yet I prefer to be just a songwriter because I don't have many of what it takes to be a singer.astonishingly most ghanian singers who wrongly call themselves musicians don't appreciate good songs in the first place as they are mostly interested in mumbo jumbo ngerger ngerger solo solo nonsense.for the avoidance of doubt,a musician is someone who plays a musical instrument.one can be a vocalist/musician like Kojo Ntwi or just a vocalist like Daddy Lumba.a majority of Ghanaian so called musicians are just vocalists with bad songs/lyrics who make one time hits because our youth are more interested in Azonto beats they can dance to.if we want to cross boundaries and go world wide then like Mel Davies said,let's start Division of Labour in the music industry right now by separating singing from songwriting and stop calling all vocalists/singers musicians.
