first of there is nothing called "lens glasses" its technically a lens or safely spectacles.. secondly there is nothing called "thick contact lenses" a contact lens irresoectivr of the prescription will depend on the contact lens material being used.. even at that.. soft contact lenses which are as thin as polythene in which we keep bread does the magic. Get your facts right.. anybody with high prescription resulting in them being dispensed with "thick" lenses do not see things at far like you are saying... again #askAnOptometrist.. come again mister!
