Just like great men all over the world, Fela was a genius and he 'concocted' that music because of African Leaders' inhuman treatment of fellow ordinary citizens. Economic hardships imposed on countries by leaders who had no conscience.

So I don't buy your tale of Highlife being the mother of Afrobeat.

If current Ghana highlife is touching on the evils of Ghanaian political leaders and their inhuman treatment of the populace, that does not make highlife the mother of afrobeat....it's just borrowing a page from the originator of Afrobeat(Fela)by getting political....nothing more!!!
