Meaning I have Krobos, fantes , ewes , Ashantis and Ga. One respected man was married to a krobo woman and they both lived in the same compound . However , something unfortunate happen . The krobo woman was not working so the man was the breadwinner and everything . So anytime the man leave the house early in the morning , this krobo woman will invite her boyfriend to come inside and do their things ( have sex and enjoyment ) . The krobo will even cooked for the boyfriend . After the boyfriend leaves , before the krobo husband returned . Wen the husband ask for food , it becomes war . So most of the tenants saw the krobo woman behavior as uncivilized and decided to inform the man to open his eyes to watch things carefully . One day , the man left very early to work and since the krobo woman couldn't wait , she immediately called the boyfriend so that they can do their things ( sex and fun) . But not knowing the husband of the krobo did not go far but was monitoring his krobo ashawo wife. So the man came with other witness to see what transpired as an evidence . Some tenants were also there . We forced opened the door and come n see things . Both were naked (the krobo woman and the boyfriend ) . So the man could not contained such a disgrace but to desert the krobo woman . Now the woman is now into big ashawo business aftermath of this disgusting incident. So sardkodie was right if he described this krobos as ASHAWO , since is in their blood and has come to stay for ages . Even lots of parent caution their wards wen they want to bring some one home . If the person is a Krobo, the parent will boldly disagree since history repeat itself .

Wow, what's a story. Sounds like something straight out of a Kumawood script. While I don't detest your story, I would like to point out something someone once said on this same Ghanaweb platform. He said and I quote, "there is whores in every country!".

One can replace every 'krobo' in your article with Ga, Fante, Akan, Ewe, frafra, etc. And your story will carry the same weight.

The argument here is not somebody hoeing or not. It's about a highly visible artist een irresponsible with his giving platform.

Growing up, all our folks caution and tell us tales about other tribes. But as mature people, we don't let that stop us from interacting with them and such because we use our own discernment.

The problem here is most of the youth that listens to Sark hangs on to his every word without verification as they look up to him. That is what's dangerous about Sarks line.

Those of us who have lived in Europe and Asia and America will testify that they've heard generalized things said about black folks and Africans in general, that they never knew existed when they were in Ghana. And how the ignoramus among those folks believe it and even think they can kill a black person for free as we are one fifth human beings.

What Sark did can cause divisions and start tribal conflicts so apology from him and his management to the krobo people should be the next course of actions.

I mean there are things that can be said about Ashanti women too and I don't mean the L and the R problem (OK, sorry). Or even Tema boys sef have things said about them.

It's irresponsible behavior on Sarks part that all. Had Strongman said something like this, it wouldn't have been much of a problem as he's not globally visible as Sark.

You may be fighting myths and stereotypes or not. You may think is it a thing to laugh about and move on. You may think it is a thing no one should take seriously because it means ‘NOTHING’. Well, you may want to think differently about the type of myths and stereotypes that continue to affect real lives of people who are living in our 21st century.

- *Krobo Women Denied Marriage Opportunities:*

I have heard and read from many people, especially Krobo women, how this is affecting their relationships and marriages TODAY! Many Krobo ladies fell in love genuinely with good men who they wanted to get married to. Someway somehow, parents of the fiancés rejected and did not approve of their marriages because THEY ARE KROBOS and it is said that ‘Krobos are promiscuous’.

Even for some of those bold men who went ahead to marry these good Krobo women, their parent(s) have never liked nor supported them choices. There are a lot of such storied.

- *Ewes Denied Marriages and Job Positions:*

You might have read or heard from an Ewe friend or relative about how he/she was affected by these stereotypes hence couldn’t land a good job or a good marriage – because it is said that “EWES LIKE JUJU” and they can put concoctions in a man / woman’s food, or go to a fetish priest in the Volta region to make a man or woman fall in love unconsciously and uncontrollably.

Others say that _*“EWES LOVE POSITION”*_ and so if you have them at your work place, they can spiritually kill or do anything necessary to find themselves up the corporate ladder. For these reasons, some good Ewes have been denied of good relationships, marriages and job positions.

The stories are the same for almost every tribe in Ghana. None is left out.

It may be fine and not important enough to be taken seriously if no individual or tribe is affected by these myths and stereotypes. But when it is affecting real lives of our fellow human beings even in this 21st century, then *IT IS NOT A THING TO BE LAUGHED ABOUT*. It becomes a thing not to be lamely vomited, especially by people who have huge following - because of their line of career. One would expect that they or their management would know better and advise against it because it may go a long way to affect people's lives.

If nothing of this sort has happened to you, your child, your sibling or your friend [yet], you may think it is laughable and should be joked with.

But are you going to proactively help stop it before it is too late, or you want to wait and fight it only when it hits your circle?

Let us be indivisible in acting against what is wrong, and together encourage what is right - at all times.

I am a Krobo intoto-father and mother. I feel insulted by this and I will personally lead a crusade that no person of Krobo heritage patronises Sarkodie's songs.
It's a shame what fame can do to people's head. Krobo's stand for yoyr rights we have been taken for granted.
