The contention here l believe is not of the church but fake pastors and the truth is that 90% of Ghanaian and for that matter, this so called one man church pastors are FAKE who have and will continue exploiting vulnerable poor people of their money for their own use abd that of their families.

I am a Christian and I believe in Jesus Christ and he, only he, is my standard. Jesus didn't go about collecting people's money to buy expensive things for himself. He sat on a colt only once, his feet were walked with expensive perfume only ones. But the preachers use this to extort money from church members to support their expensive lifestyles. The offering and tithes was established to maintain the temple of God in the days when God dwelt in a temple and people were suppose to minister in that temple 24/7 and they could not do anything else for fear of becoming unclean. Even then, God did not give all the offering to the priests. Some of that offering too was supposed to go and support the poor and needy. Unfortunately, the pastors today are competing among themselves about who drives the biggest car and who lives in the biggest house. The plight of the poor and the needy comes to mind only when we want media attention. Other's use your tithe and offering to send their wives and children abroad for holidays and schooling and come to church to brag about how their families are civilised and progressing while people go hungry in the church and other's get sent home for school fees. The bible says be wise as serpents. For me, between buying V8 for a pastor and giving money to a hungry child to buy food or pay school fees, the poor kid will always get his meal and school fees. Where V8 can go, Toyota corolla can also go. God exists and he wants to be part of our lives but the attitude of some pastors raise serious moral issues. I believe if you want to drive the car that Amoabeng drives, do the business that Amoabeng does. You can't be living champaignt lifestyle on the poverty and hunger of the children of God. I believe even God frowns on that. Yes the bible says, "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain," and "The worker deserves his wages."
What the some of the pastors are getting now is not "wages", it is money they extort through fear.
