Multiple award winning dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has revealed the big secret behind his new hit song, ‘Freedom’ which is making massive waves in Ghana now.

The single produced by Takoradi based producer, Willis Beatz. According to critics, “does not make sense” judging from the few words he uttered.

The Ayoo hitmaker just mentioned just few words just like ‘you say wetin’ composed by Zigi 7 years ago. Whilst some regard it as “useless songs” ever recorded but others also argue that it is creativity.

Shatta Wale in a chat with Jerry Justice on Adom FM in Accra confessed that he entered the booth to record the ‘Freedom’ tune because Patapaa was making waves with his ‘One Corner’. The ‘Shatta Movement Family Champion’ revealed that he initially wanted to give the song to the Agona Swedru-based musician but changed plans later because he, Patapaa worried him in 2017 with his only hit single.

“Let me confess today. Patapaa worried me a lot so he made me record the freedom song. I wanted to give the song to him but I changed my plan later. I’m saying this and God knows that I am not lying. That is how smart I am.

“Patapaa’s One corner got me asking why God didn’t bring the hit song to Accra but took it to Swedru. Tell Patapaa I love him so much but he nearly killed my career”- Shatta Wale disclosed
