Award-winning Ghanaian Dancehall artist Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known in showbiz as Stonebwoy has urged all customers of Menzgold to remain calm.
This comes on the back of recent release by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) ordering the company to shut down its Gold Vault Market amidst licensing issues.
In a van Instagram video, the ‘Mightylele’ hitmaker said, “I urge all customers of menzgold to keep calm and take it easy because the situation is under control and your gold deposits are safe and secure. By the company’s agreements, you can end it at your own time and collect back your gold deposits”
He also added that “Menzgold Ghana has not shut down like the media has it. Please take it easy, don’t panic, there is no need to, Menzgold is here to benefit Ghanaians and to help Ghana, Ghana must definitely prosper remember that.”
According to the SEC, Menzgold has been dealing in the purchase and deposit of gold collectibles from the public and issuing contracts with guaranteed returns for clients without a valid license from them.
he SEC’s directives and the responses from the company have received mixed public reactions with some applauding the regulator for its actions, while others have described it as a witch-hunt.
