Reggae/Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has announced that he will never ever be part of the Ghana Music Awards scheme again.
“Upon sober reflections of events in recent times and having made broader consultations, I wish to announce that I will not be part of the Ghana Music Awards scheme going forward. God bless!,” the Gringo hitmaker posted on Facebook on Thursday, 23 May 2019 along with a picture of his bloody palm, suggesting he had made a blood oath.
His decision comes on the back of a recent clash with his archrival Stonebwoy at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) at the Accra International Conference Centre, which marred the event.
There was a free-for-all fight which resulted in Stonebwoy pulling a gun on stage. Both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were subsequently arrested by the police and arraigned.
