Sensational Ghanaian vocalist, King Jerry has revealed that he has never received any payment from the numerous performances he has staged for Ghanaian footballer, Asamoah Gyan’s Baby Jet boxing promotions.

He made this revelation in an interview with Happy 98.9 FM’s DJ Advicer on the ‘Ayekoo After Drive’ show.

When asked if he was paid for being the open act for the boxing events organized by Asamoah Gyan’s Baby Jet boxing promotions, he said, “They don’t pay me for my performances. They don’t tell me King Jerry take 5,000 cedi’s or something for performing on stage.”

He reiterated, “They don’t pay me. I can’t come on radio to lie. They don’t pay me.”

King Jerry disclosed that he did not harbour any hurt feelings towards the Ghanaian footballer. “If you know where you’re from and where you’re going, you will not feel hurt.”

He noted that he is not really concerned about not receiving payment for his work. He justified that it will be worth it one day. “You don’t know who is watching you and may decide to sign you for your performance.”

He believes the platform being given to him by Baby Jet promotions is a platform for him to showcase his talent.
