Was Kwesi Nyantakyi just bragging?

Kwesi Nyantakyi Shocked Kwesi Nyantakyi is resigned President of Ghana Football Association

Kwesi Nyantakyi was bragging about Nana Addo in the Anas video, so our friends want us to believe that story and accept it.

So now we we are being told that disgraced Kwesi Nyantakyi has the capacity to brag. Mr. Nyantakyi has gone through President Kuffour, the late President Mills and President Mahama. Have you asked yourself why Mr. Nyantakyi could not use the name of all these Presidents to brag but only Nana Akufo Addo? It is either something is wrong with all those Presidents or something is wrong with Nana Akufo Addo. I wished going forward, political shows on radio will discuss this issue and get us an answer.

Anybody who says Mr Nyantakyi was bragging doesn’t know him well. Mr Nyantakyi is a Lawyer who held key positions in GFA, CAF and FIFA. He went through a lot of shake-ups in football administration in all these institutions but still kept his job. He messed up several times as GFA Boss under at least two or three Presidents, yet he remained strong.

If Mr. Nyantakyi was able to mention specific amounts for particular individuals for specific contracts, why do you call that bragging?. The man knew he was doing genuine business with genuine investors, so he was telling them the exact things they needed to do. Is that bragging? Mr. Nyantakyi spoke with confidence. He did it all the time and that is why it is necessary to investigate why he mentioned Nana Addo, Dr. Bawumiah and the rest in the negotiation. There is sufficient evidence to call for such an investigation.

If Mr. Nyantakyi could not use the names of President Kuffour, Mills and Mahama to brag in corruption but could use President Akufo Addo’s name to brag in corruption, it means President Akufo Addo is either corrupt or a weak leader. Because Nana Addo is corrupt, that was why Nyantakyi was able to associate his name with corruption. It is as simple as that.

We are more concern about the extent to which Ghana’s international image has been severely dented. While the focus is on cleaning up football administration in the country, the damning insight of corruption and fishy deals in the Akuffo Addo government as captured in the video cannot be relegated to the background.

Ghanaians demand better answers…
