President of the Wisconsin International University College Ghana (WIUC-GH) Prof. Obeng Mireku has reiterated his University College’s stand on all forms of sexual harassment on both students and staff.
He made these remarks at the 17th matriculation ceremony of the Wisconsin International university college which took place at the Accra campus of the university.
Touching on the raging subject of “Sex for grades”, the law professor said the punishment for such actions in Wisconsin as contained in the anti-sexual harassment policy document is deterrent enough, adding “The student handbook clearly spells out the Universities sexual harassment policy and we are serious with that.
Prof. Obeng Mireku welcomed freshmen to the University admonishing them to make the best of opportunities Wisconsin offers them adding that the University has invested heavily in state-of-the-art learning facilities for the Law, Nursing, Communication and I.T schools to help develop their skills as well as serve as an added advantage in the world of work.
