  We will continue to contribute of pennies for the greater development of our motherland.
  There is a well written history about cocoa farming and how it was nationalized by the first prez.
  I will summarize the history in a few paragraphs prior to Ghana's independence the cocoa supply chain was largely organized by the locals including transporting of the beans to the districts and regional capitals where there were colonial purchasing companies paying top dollars for their beans,this indeep made the locals very wealthy and were very comfortable with the arrangements till the arrival of Dr Nkrumah. Who based on the principles of founding a state nationalizes the cocoa sector to secure much needed foreign currency needed by the newly independent nation to the displeasure to many of the cocoa farmers and even in their displeasure were willing to sacrifice theire position in favour of nation building.
  One has to read the Beautiful ones are not yet born by Ayi Kwei to put to the puzzle together about what happened to understand where that has led us here

  Cocoa farmers are being cheated from time in memorial. All these years they are the poor and ignorant hard/old working people being the poorer at the end of the day. The so call cocoa clerks at the various cocoa Villages and the Districts have a system of manipulating the scales to their profit and that is where the cheating starts and it is about time the cocoa industry provide the said cocoa centers with a modern digital scales for the benefit of the poor and old hard working farmers.
