  All those advocating for manipulation of the Constitution to afford Mahama a third term are nothing but visionless sycophantic idiots. Their main reason for wanting a third term for the President is that he has performed well so far in this first year of his second term and he therefore deserves to be rewarded with an extra term. Will these sycophants cry for a fourth term should the Constitution be amended to allow Mahama or any other President a third term, and when that President performs well in that third term, will this sycophants again expect the Constitution to be again amended to grant the President a fourth term? Reasonable people do not advocate for the amendment of a Constitution to grant a President a third term; reasonable people commend that President for doing their job well, as voters expect of their Presidents. Nowhere in the Constitution is there language that speaks to the Constitution being revisited regarding Presidential term limits whenever a President is deemed to be performing well in the eyes of the public.

  The third term debate is a non starter. The two term limit is reasonable. Those who are advocating for a third term are shortsighted. The fact that a president is performing well in his second term is not enough to amend the constitution. I am sure we have not forgotten the years Ghanaians lived and worked in darkness. The NDC lost the presidency because JDM did not perform well. So, to argue that a third term is premised on the performance of a the one seeking a third term is an argument in circles. Even if any person want to go beyond the two term, the constitution forbids him. If it has not broken don’t try to fix it.

  The constitution is clear - Two four-year terms and that's it.
