Knowing very well, it takes time to correct a fool and bring him to his sense, the Akan tribe will patiently wait for a sense of common to be unearth from one of our own but from the North.
I can't believe to pour insults to all Northerner's and later thank some as wise. Calling a spade a spade need nothing else to prove a spade is indeed a spade.
An Akan man who is coward will always be coward. Those Akan's being tribal will always be tribal Akan's. So how could the writer kill all Akan's and later praise most of them. These are individuals I will tag psycho or naked man on the street. I rest my case. No haters in this twentieth century.
Folks should understand that every party has it's base. Fact that NPP is based in Ashanti Region does not make it a party of Ashanti's. The same can be said about NDC.
Let's put into perspective the American politics for our illiterate friends to come clean. Republican party has it's support base mainly from the south and Midwest. Democrats also have their base come from the east and west. Having said that and though Republicans use the bible to court supporters to vote. Their slogan is simple, the bible vote but not racism. On the other hand their slogan is human vote but however not paganism.
So can that be said about NPP and NDC. One is of the view of suppression and other of the view of free enterprise. Those who would quote tribalism and associate with Akan tribe are just and inferior and I feel for them.
You can never blame an Ashanti of how God created you. But be content and thank Asante's for their patience in unearthing your true you.
If you want to verse with anyone, kindly ask your maker(Allah) and quit messing with Ashanti's.!!

A part from the akyem defeat of asantes in a war , none of Adu BOAHEN's history books talked about any other asante defeat. If not because of F.K. BUAH, we would perhaps never have read about asante defeat by gas in the Dodowa forest, asantes defeat by peki people,the sinking of asantes in the keta lagoon when they wanted ditch the anlos who thought they were doing something good by having an alliance with them whiles betraying the rest of eweland except the peki people were smarter. So you can see from where cometh this mundane asante superiority madness.I remember when in the mid-eighties plans were advanced to get electricity to the Volta Region, prominent journalist at the Mirror then questioned the rationale for sending electricity to the Volta Region and went further to state that there was no need ,since there were no industries there. She perhaps forgot that it was power that brings industries and not the opposite.What would asantes be even in those days minus gonjas,the yeji people,dagombas and grushies among others. Can asantes tell the origins of anlo town? Were these people not settled there from old because they came with the ewe medecine man? Did they not murder him because they murdered his mother when he asked them for the hunch of a hunch-back to perform some rituals and the provided that of the mother whom they killed? Knowing that the man knew it and fearing his rage decided to murder him? How can a people thing that by trading such falsehoods they can live with it forever? All tribes who came to settle on this land called Ghana, knew where they came from except the guans whom others came to meet here. But asantes alone claim they were from holes as if they were descendants of metamorphosed dinasaures. By claiming their origin from a hole they tactical ignore their roots from the upper parts of Ghana because they look down on the people from there antheir other part that came from the east who were from the perkyi (the Peki)people. If they deny their upper region origins with the kassina people, how come they have a common totem with the Nongsinia people from Navrongo, the calan from which cometh the Navro-Pe (Navro-Pio)? Special people indeed....people who do not know where they come from or ignore their origins!!! if Adu BOAHEN had not perpetrated injustice or academic tyranny on F.K BUAH, Ghana would have had a better historic facts than the twisted one one left by Adu Buahen. But i belive in our primary schools in those days, F.K. BUAH carried our history lesson days.

I am an Asante inside out. And proud of it. I am also a Ghanaian inside out. And proud of it. I have worked very very hard to be where I am in life. As a give back, I have a Gonja child and an Ewe child, neither a relation, in my house. I pay for their fees. In private school, by the way.

It is true that all Akans are not Ashantes, and that's where your wisdom ends. The rest of your write-up is not wise. We need people gifted with the ability to write to use their gift for national development and unity--not to open and deepen old wounds. Doing the later is an exercise in futility and criminally dangerous. Regardless of our tribe, ethnicity, and other social constructions, we are all human beings and Ghanaians at that. Let's put Ghana first and forget about myopic conceptions about our contrived relative cultural superiority.
