Cant the clergy stay in Ghana and pray for the nation? cant we enumerate all the useless things the ndc government is doing and declare a national day of prayer so christians can pray for the nation to reverse the countless problems which the useless ndc government has plunged the country into.
Until we exchew corruption and fetishism in high places, we shouldnt dream of any good thing for the nation under the illegitimate rule of the ndc government.
We shouldnt worry the ears of Jehovah God when thieves are in the helms of our county's affairs. God hates hypocrites.
They only problem Ghana has is incompetence at the highest level of national affairs.
The presidency is made up of an incompetent head surrounded by foul mouthed self seekers whose are only interested in stealing the wealth of the nation.
The ndc must give way to the competent npp to take the nation out of our political quagmire.

It appears while the economy implodes from abject and poor leadership, the only job in town is politics – politics, that is where the money is and every dickhead is falling over each other to get to the gravy-train. Did we go or did we come? Just look at the dick-heads they are appointing as ministers, are these the cream of the cream in the NDC.

Listen money cannot cure idiocy and incompetence, John Mahama can send all Ghanaians to Israel, it is not going to cure our stupidity. Unfortunately our brainwashed people think God's main office is in Israel - a semi-desert country that cannot get by without Americas largesse and they call it a land of milk and honey. Are we stupid or something, desert and evergreen forest and fertile land, plus gold, diamond and oil, which one is more blessed? We are so gullible beyond measure. Anokwampo!!! Isn't it amazing that many Ghanaians know more about Israel, their history, who begot whatever and whoever than their own family history?

If some people think they have to go to Jerusalem or Mecca to pray before God will hear their prayers, then I think God has to give them a punch in the mouth for irritating his ears. I hope they return home speaking proper Jewish language and using that in the place of the "tongues" they often speak in their churches.

It's really heartbreaking to see Ghana falling apart in pieces, all due to bad policies & poor leadership. I can't even fathom that, a leader of a nation, whose citizens can't even enjoy the basic things in life such as, water & electricity, can waste this amount of money, to a place they think is still the "holy land". And if these foolish pastors, don't have faith in their own churches for prayers, but had to travel to a foreign land in order for God to hear them, then I'm afraid, there's no need for churches in Ghana. They should rather stay in the so-called 'holy land'. Like Oyokoba said, there's no cure for a sheer stupidity. I'm still dumbfounded as to why nobody in parliament not saying anything against this trip.

Eric, it is hard for me to fathom what Mahama is doing? Either this guy is just not up to the task or he has been drinking too much of Asiedu Nketiah's stuff. I saw this coming way before the first vote was cast when I wrote that this guy was going to be worse than Limann. All the signs were there for anybody who cared to have seen that this clueless Mahama cares too much about money and women and has no managerial skills to manage a bakery let alone a country.

His problem is compounded because NDC despite their rigging strategy was not sure of itself if it can pull the wool over the eyes of Ghanaians and intentionally looted the coffers of the country as they did in 2000 before NPP came to power in 2001.

Ghana will continue to have this problem because no country can use almost 73% of its budget just to satisfy salaries of government workers. After paying interest on government debt of 33 billion dollars, the government will be left with about 10% of the budget to take developmental projects and aquiring equipments for the Police, Military and the Army. It was a dumb decision to increase the number of constituencies and the SSSS policy was wrongly implemented that has left the government broke and the government will continue to be broke.

NHIS will collapse soon followed by the school feeding program. Mahama wants to build 200 secondary schools but not a penny of red cent was budgeted in the just read budget to undertake that project. The problem this Mahama government has created is too numerous to mention sometimes in my solitary mood, I wonder how we are going to get out of the mess created by the SSSS policy that devalued the cedi and continue to wreck havoc in the country.

Mr. Adams and the NDC government must know that $1b cannot solve all the problems of Ghana either. I recalled when Prez Mills passed away, Dr. Daag-Heward Mills(not sure of entire name), yes the pastor that wanted 30% of national contracts to be reserved for NPP- was lamented in an interview that he was hoping that Prez Mills could have fulfilled his vision of sponsoring a pilgrimage for Ghanaian pastors to Israel.. So, there is "fire" where there is "smoke"..It could be that same "Saint" pushing this through Mahama..

This could be overlooked in times of prosperity, but NOT now and why @10k a pastor- is that what it takes to go to Israel and Mecca from Ghana? Why so lavishly? If the average pilgrim needs that much to go to Israel, will Christians all over the world be able to visit Israel at all?

Is the government not going to sponsor the Alhajis to Mecca to pray for the same cause, most especially, where you have a government which is full of Alhajis and moslems?

Would it not be right to say that, this sponsored trip offer to the Holy Land, to the Christians, Pastors and Reverend Ministers by the Government of the NDC, is a bait, a ploy and a cover-up to the real intent, and that is, to pave the way for the Muslims to go to Mecca, on Government sponsored tickets, when it reaches their turn.

The biggest problem facing the country is the government salary bill. No country can use LMOST 73% OF ITS REVENUE ON SALARIES ALONE. USA government use less than 5% of its budget on Federal Employees salaries and benefits. European countries average less than 10% of its budget outlays for wages and salaries for government workers. NPP and Kuffour government used 25% of government revenue fo workers salaries but the wrongly implemented SSSS policy and the government creation of 45 new constituencies and Districts, the more than 100% increment of salaries for the MP's, Ministers and Judges have wreaked havoc on government expenditure.

Lonto, if you have a company and your yearly revenue is 100,000 dollard and you use 73,000 to pay workers before you pay the cost of production including raw materials, electricity, water, depreciation of machines and others, you will end up losing money every year let alone to talk about expanding your business. You will go out of business within two years . Any company that will use more than 30% of its revenue to pay workers will soon go out of business and that is what is happening now.

Mahama is just lucky Ghanaians don't have any stomach for coups and will rather have a bad civilian administration than a good military government or his administration would have faced the military coup.

Our country is in a big mess than the government is willing to tell us.
