Ghanaians consider themselves to be so smart and yet still:
1) We sit down and allow the Chinese to come and degrade our forests and our waters.
2) We allow the Chinese to collude with some unscrupulous chiefs to degrade our forests and now they are harvesting ivory from slaughtered elephants in our forests.
3) Our political leaders think about nothing but how to enrich themselves at the expense of the citizenry.
One can go on and on about the demise of the Ghana Nkrumah left. It is so heart rending. I really feel sorry for Ghanaians when I see them trouping to election centers with the belief that they are going to elect capable leaders for the country.
With the kind of leadership we have in Ghana, I ONLY WEEP FOR GHANA.

He passed away on July 24, 2012, less than a year ago. If we can admit that the nation or ghanaians are sick then we can probably finf the cure.Opening up the nation's chest cavity now would be painful but much safer than concealing a slow bleeding wound that would eventually cause death.
There have been corruption and salacious allegations made against the president,John Mahama, but as usual they have been swept under the carpet.
President Barack Obama in his second inaugural address spoke very eloquently and powerfully not only to the American people but every person everywhere who has ears to hear.We may substitute Ghana for America, and Ghanaians for Americans everywhere they appear and apply this great speech to ourselves. The following are excerpts from his speech.
