It is a good thing to have the police visible buy are they doing what they are supposed to do. I have seen them all around but they look so bored. Most are sitting in shade under a tree or kiosk conversing. I had the experience today at an intersection. I was waiting at the traffic light to turn green then from the right shoulder of the road appears a trotro who want to cut in front of me to take off as soon as the light turned green. The police man was standing there watching and did not utter a word. What good is to have such police personnel on the field and they do not do what they are supposed to do?

Be bold my friend, you must assist the police in their duties. Our police force are under equipped, and under trained to survive our very own terrain. Eating heavy meals in the morning before embarking on police duty can be detrimental, secondly, they require constant energy drinks and hydration. Their uniforms needs to be tropically engineered to protect them from the direct sun rays. All these can be easily done, we just have greedy and selfish administrators, who assume that government property is their personal property, so they tend to sit on all these available resources.
I too have noticed their stepped up presence, and I do experience the incident you mentioned, we have to figure out ways to encourage the police to function. I make the effort to give the police thumps us every time I see them confront a motorists, I engage them in conversations encouraging them despite their limited resources. Chat them up, let them know you on their side. I am doing my part do use, rather than frustrate yourself with complaints.

Its a good idea but I am afraid a Ghanaian Police man prefers to be present at locations where bribeing is the norm.
