  And that unfinished job was to destroy Asante heritage somehow --- at least .they tried by implementing KEEP THE ASHANTIS OUT OF CENTRAL POWER DOCTRINE of Kofi Awoonor.
  
  Kofi believed ashantis were too powerful and they should be stopped.
  
  Rawlings realised later that it was unachievable target.
  
  The bad deeds of Kofi Awoonor has followed him throughout his life--- and he met his match in the AL-SABBA separatists and minor interest protectors------ Kofi believed in that idea.

  When I was a graduate student at Princeton, in my first year, I visited Bronx where my sister was living in the same apartment complex with Prof Kofi Awoonor. At the time, he was lecturing part time at Columbia and pursuing his final ph.d. dissertation.
  
  What I remember about him is that he would often speak FANTI to my sister encouraging her to be closer to his (Kofi's) wife rather than the other gullible, gossipy Ghanaians in the same complex because he found my sister articulate and educated. I spoke often with him in Fanti and he was full of excitement whenever Ghana came up. Even at that time he did not look that old; I am surprised that he was 78. May he rest in peace - those who knew him up close really considered him classy and he fitted into many Ghanaian ethnic groups and backgrounds because he spoke so many Ghana languages.... it was always difficult to pin him as an Ewe. His English was nothing like an ewe accent!!!
  
  Folks - Kofi was no tribalist. He might have been an Ewe nationalist. I found him more Ghanaian than most people; I can say for a fact that he was neither an ewe-phobic nor akan-phobic, if there are such things. He was simply a Ghanaian Nationalist

  It is very sad indeed to see the end of a human being like this. Rawlings and his revolutionaries including Awoonor himself are part of the blame. Rawlings and his Ewe revolutionaries have got a bitter taste of their own bad medicine to solve African problems. Rawlings proclaimed; "Our revolution will spread throughout Africa." Rawlings and his socialist revolutionaries including Kofi Awoonor urged all socialists in Africa to take arms to remove all reactionary governments in Africa. That was the message Rawlings and his socialist-pretense thieves in Ghana sent out .
  
  Some thugs and punks heard and Rawlings was a model for them. Africa saw some thugs who also tok gun to overthrow their governments .Examples are Liberia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Burkina Fasso, Mali, and many others. Rawlings boys were disturbing Togolese government. France had to sent forces to support the then Togolese government.
  Al Shaba, Islamic forces prevailed until African force evicted them from Somalia's capital. The ironic thing is that this 'kaboka Rawlings, for cheap popularity is an envoy with regard to Somalia peace. African leaders don't know that Rawlings is part of this disstabilzation in Africa.
  
  Rawlings, about twenty seven years ago, the message you sent to Africa fell into some tugs ears, and they are doing what you told them to do. Al Shaba sees African forces as reactionary forces. Now, Rawlings, what is your definition for reactionary now.
  
  Rawlings and his Ewes preached hate and now they have got the real taste of hate. Be careful what you preach, Mr Rawlings. Kofi Awoonor, a whole academic professor, agitated for destruction of Akans economic power.
  
  About three weeks ago, Rawlings was praing a fellow Ewe who has purchased a ship for his business. Comments made by Rawlings ' There is nothing that Ghanaians cann't do" Very funny statement from Rawlings, the hater of Akans. When Akan businessmen like Appia Minka, it was Rawlings as head of state who advertised against the purchase of Appiah Minka products.
  
  Kofi Awoonor death and the eulogy he is getting from the section of Ghana is unfortunate.But Ewes cream of society have brought this upon themselves. Common Ewe like me does not understand all these, but much as Ewes sees all Akans as Asantis so do Akans put the blames of Kofi Awoonor failure on all Ewes. Let us learn and put our nation's interest first. Let us see each other as br
