Ghana is nowhere close to economic collapse and her debt is very sustainable despite what many,many alarmists and naysayers want you to believe.
I've been called a fool for not supporting some half baked views of some blind economists,interested politicians and some biased bloggers here on Ghanaweb.But the fact remains that Ghana's finances are sound.Our debt being 4th highest in Africa in terms of GDP only means that debt levels in africa are on average lower than most of the world.Ghana is not collapsing or anything close and biased alarmists and economics illiterates don't have a clue what they're talking about.I'll stand by my views no matter how many economics illiterates and financial failures say.I've worked in the financial industry for 20yrs and i know my thig very well.

It is time for intellectuals to rise up n write articles like what adofo is doing to kick against corruption, economic mismanagement n incompetence Ghana is facing. Mahama n his ewe cohorts are collapsing the nation but the Bible says that evil thrives when good men do nothing.

The shameless NDC government has returned the country to the economics of the Acheampong era whereby the govt borrows heavily from foreign sources and then mortgages all exports over an extended period of time to pay for it. Meanwhile, the borrowed money is not utilized for national development but goes into individual pockets. (Remember 'fa wo to begye Golf'?). We are reliving it all over again, this time in the form of judgment debt deviously paid by the government to individuals who have not entered into any previous contract with it. The simple but sad truth about Ghana's economic condition is that at the moment we are not receiving any revenues from our exports, not even oil, the borrowed money is nowhere to be found and there is no financial planning. Soon enough, government is going to find it very hard to pay workers. So, for the Minister of Finance to assert that government is working to achieve its deficit target, however difficult, is not only disingenuous and false, but an attempt to cover up the wild, rampant corruption within the administration. All this coming from a political party that prides itself of the principles of accountability, transparency and probity and whose parent regime the PNDC executed three former heads of state for being reckless with the country's economy!!! Ghanaians, we are in for another long, bumpy ride.

What i want you to remember is that even if the economy is collapsing is not the current president fault .. have you forgotten that the government we claimed that he did well changed our denomination.. and were is the 1 pesewa and now what am thinking is to make this economy much attractive is to bring our old denomination back.... because of their fake and corruptions that they planned to do that is why they change the denomination and we are supporting them because of the political reason , say the truth toa person who is going to astray dont support if you cant tell the truth because we are all going to account for on the day of judgement ....
