He would have been there, bro. When you go back to read all the evidence he provided, that alone should tell you that he wanted to be with the team; however, his fitness wasn't allowing him to do so. In Zambia match, he was there. He was sitting on the bench. In Egypt match, his medical report was broadcasted to the public by the FA.
Now it is my turn to ask you this question. Upon all the venues the Black Stars have been playing at, which venue would you classify as the worse, let me say, as the most dangerous venue at the moment a player would offer his life and his will to play? If Kevin was faking all along, don't you think that playing this match at Egypt, with everything going on there, would have been the best opportunity to excuse himself from the match? He would have faked to stay away from the match and to save his soul, because no one, including himself, knows what would happened in there on that 19th day of November. I'm still praying nothing happens.
Like I was saying, KPB could have used that to play a fake game on the country. On the contrary, he didn't and is willing to die for the country. Don't you see that?
What is scoreline compare to one's life? Can you answer me that?
Veep, think about it.

By the way, your thinking should be set aside as in what can happened and what can't when it comes to the Egyptians. Did you ever think that their army was going to spray their own citizen like they did last month? Our brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, uncles, aunties and friends will be in their mist. "Now, even if he plays for a club in heaven and comes back, he should not be allowed to play for this country anymore. He has disrespected the country enough. I remembered saying the same thing on this forum and someone thought I hated Kevin. Now, what is our stand in this case now? How did we benefit by going after him when he announced his retirement?"
You did not have any fact when you made the above comment KPB had given a simple reason in his so-called retirement letter that he cannot handle both a club and country duties.
By the way your comment on that faith day was not curse. By their fruits you shall know them. No wonder the Governor call you a Day Time Pastor.

You are bringing this argument here too? I guess you didn't read the respond I handed to you upon this same comment I made? You want me to take you through again because I will. Better yet, let me copy the respond and post it here for you.
Here we go, Mr N:
Mr. N, you that is the difference between you and I. The country was chasing KPB and YES, I disagreed that because no one, and I mean, no one citizen is above the country. Therefore, chasing him was wrong! I was among those who were saying we shouldn't chase him and I will never deny that no matter who that player is. When GFA got tired of chasing him, what happened? They even stopped; they put an end to it. That was the goal of my advocating back then. Yes, omit his name from the Black Stars list forever even if he plays for Heaven FC, if we have to chase him around.
Now, the player himself came with his letter to be reinstated. In this case, no one chased him but he came on his own. Are you getting it, Mr. Liar. When the player is willing to play for the country and no one is chasing him to do so, whatever he did prior to the time he submitted his reinstated letter should be forgiven and forgotten. Who am I to use one's past to condemn him. That is the difference between you and I. I forgave; however, you didn't and still holding it against him.
Yes, it was difficult for me to forget about what KPB said about the country and his comments after he retired but I came to learn that we can't hold onto anyone's past to judge him.
It is about time you do so. For the fact that you can't forgive him, even when there are facts before you about him, you still don't consider it. The player brought his medical report including his physiotherapist to proof that he wouldn't be able to play a match. You turned the story around that he came with the intention to play. He reported to camp and was examined by the national team's doctor before Zambia match, you called such an act fake, even though he came to the match and was sitting on the team's bench. He submitted an injury report before Egypt's match to clear his name about his injury, this one also you called it faking. All those facts (evidence) couldn't convince you because of the thoughts you have about him. What are you, a perfect man? Are you saying, you don't make mistakes? Just let it go, Mr. N. for it is about time to let the past be and support him.
That was my response to this same argument you want to bring it here again. I guess you didn't read it yesterday.
Now, I called you a liar because you lied that KPB, during our historic match against England, he went there with the motive to participate in that game whilst he refused to play a match in Ghana, Kumasi, against Congo prior to the England match. Are you saying you were not broadcasting that? Do you want one of your comment to be posted here as my evidence? Now, the reason you became a liar was the fact that you were telling a story which never occurred. There was nothing there but you wanted something to be there. You were intentionally spreading something that wasn't true, even though, you knew it wasn't true just to dent KPB's name. You open a way for people to insult him based on your fake fact you presented on this forum.
From GFA article sent to public on the 28th of March, 2011, in respond to this allegation indicated that the player didn't show up to play but came there to prove that he can't be able to play. This was the reason of bringing in his club's physiotherapist. Moreover, when he came, both parties, as the article mentioned, AC Milan's physio and Black Stars doctors sat and concluded for the player to go back to Italy to continue on his healing process.
That was what happened, Mr N. But thanks to you, because now many people think KPB went to England to play. What you did was a mere backbite and lairs are those who act in that way. You may like it or not but that is who you are. Just admit it and try to stop it.
So now tell me. What would you have called such a person?
I rest my case.

1. Adam Kwarasey
2. Samuel Inkoom, since he could be able to track Mohamed Salah back when he, Inkoom overlaps.
3. Daniel Opare (there is no competition on this one)
4. Micheal Essien (Allowing Essien to play at the heart of our defense pairing with Jerry Akaminko wouldn't be a bad idea. At least this will limit mistakes at the back-line to avoid any inexperience penalty committed by any inexperience defender.
5. Jerry Akaminko
6. Sulley Ali Muntari
7. Andrea Ayew
8. Kevin Prince Boateng (The prince Himself is in the house!)
9. Asamoah Gyam
10. Majeed Warris
11. Kwedwo Asamoah
With a formation, 4-3-1-2. With this formation, Kevin would be playing at the back of the two attackers, Asamoah Gyan and Majeed Warris. Kevin would as well serve as the fourth midfielder when the opponent, Egypt, has possession.
This is my prediction.

Kaka, you made a good point by the coach playing a single striker upfront due to the 6-1 margin. I thought about that but what if it backfires? Going to Egypt with the mentality as going to play a defensive game plan with counter-attack, I thought it was too risky. To me, that could generate a different atmosphere for the Egyptians that we are there to play draw or to protect our 5 goal difference. That will pile pressure on our players and anything could happen. Because of that reason, I was even tempted to go with a 4-3-3 formation to let them know that we are there to beat them on top of that 6-1. This rather would put fear in them and psychologically, would let them think twice before they decide to put pressure on us.
However, thinking about it, I thought of safety first, to keep the goal margin, and to also pull threat on them. Let them know that we are not afraid of them.
Now, with your changes to my selection as in bringing Kwedwo Asamoah to the left back like Juve was sometime using him, I don't think it is a bad idea too. On the contrary, here is my concern. When we used that formation during Afcon 2013, it didn't help us. Besides, we have 3 experienced left full-backs in the names of Daniel Opare, Harrison Afful and David Nii Addy, we could use to stop both Mohamed and Ibrahim Salah whoever Bob Bradley will use. Both Daniel Opare and David Addy for example, are doing so well in the respective clubs. Why can't we use one of them?
Essien, on the other hand, plays with his head more now than have even been. He has the experience and know exactly what to do when these Egyptians are trying to play smart to get penalties to frustrate us from the game. To me, all we have to do is to let Essien play just a little higher than Jerry Akaminko and all will be well. In this way, before the opponent gets to the middle or our defense, they will have to pass through the "Bison" to get to Jerry.
Andrea Ayew on the right, Kwedwo Asamoah on the left of the midfielders. KPB partners with Sully Ali Muntari as the engine of our territory, though KPB would be moving forward and play as the hidden play maker, behind the strikers, when we have possession. This alone should put fear in the opponent. I believe by the time they realized that we have landed in Cairo, the demolishing process has already reached way too far for them to stop it.
Ghana 3 Egypt 1 final score, that is my prediction.

I think that for those who want the Black Stars to have all the big names on the field at once, KASA has to move to left back to give KPB an opportunity. This leaves Afful and Addy out of the picture and Inkoom might end up not even being selected. I think that KPB causes a defender to stay home and that defender will be Inkoom. J. Mensah and Akaminko are the types that can play central defense or lateral defense as well so this will have an impact on final decision making.

Sammy the Sheriff, you have a point there. I like your selection as well but to have an inexperienced at the back going against Egypt in their own territory is just scary. For the upfront, to take out Warris, who pairs so well with Asamoah Gyan, I don't think it is a good idea. Against Zambia match, these two paired well and so was in Egypt first leg. They are getting use to each other playing together. That combination, I mean Asamoah Gyan and Warris pair, I think should left alone for now. Don't you think so?
To take out Warris, I would say, Kevin should be benched for us to see how far we can go with that upfront paired. This is not to say that Warris is better than KPB. That is not it at all. All I'm saying is, it has been a long time that we have found any player to pair right with Asamoah Gyan. Consistency is the key here. Moreover, we all know how Kevin plays and could fit in every formation. What we don't know is can this Asamoah Gyan/Majeed Warris pair be enough to surprise the world when we get there? Therefore, I think they should be pair again in this match and if after the first half nothing good is coming out of it, then they should be separated by bringing in Kevin.

The second leg in Caro, Egypt, will not be easy, for the Ghana Black Stars, and I did not say that the first leg in Kumasi, Ghana, was easy either. You cannot say "forget about him." This is not nice or right to say. I am sure you are referring to Prince Boaten, right?. Of course, he is ready to play, so why cannot the Coach allow the chance for him to display his craft. Prince Boateng is excellent player. I hope, I have resolved your dilemma. God be with you all the way.
Vuvuzela 10 years ago
A wiser person would start with the previous selection and make substitution later on. Is Boateng the best player we have? He should be on the bench for the first 45 minutes.

A winning team is always changed with a good plan at hand. If it comes to a time for Coach Appiah to make some changes to fit his game plan for a match, I don't think he will hesitate in doing so. He will do it quick and in a heart beat. Therefore, who told you that an old adage is used in football?
Yes, it is possible that the same selection from the last match could be use again but I wouldn't bet on it because a game plan decides which players need to start. The coach can leave best players and still win if his game plan is being implemented and executed well by the players he picks.
We are not in a history class to base our ideas on what we achieved last year. This is a whole new ball game. I'm certain he is going into the match with fresh mapping because Bob Bradley is not stupid. As a coach, I believe he too has taken some tips from the last encounter, therefore, may have something under his sleeves to get the result he is seeking for.
A winning team can also be changed when more and quality players are at hand. That old whatever is long gone. It doesn't play any role in today's football anymore.

What do you understand about adage Mr. Know All and who said adage are use at certain places grow up and stop this nonsense of trying to be the smartest Idiomatic expressions can be use any time and any where. I am not sitting here and telling Appiah what to do I do not tell coaches what to do, you want to tell everyone what to do, how to think you are trying to be a control freak. You always want show off as the only smartest person in the room. I did not create that phase "You do not change a winning team" and whoever created that phase which has been accepted in human user did not lay down the rules when and where to use them.
You do not want anyone to have a different opinion thank God you are not near the corridors of power you would have control the air and people would have to beg you before they can breath.

Veep, your problem is that you have not allowed yourself to look beyond the qualifiers that is why you are talking about forgetting KPB. Going into the tournament in 2014 every servious team will need both a formidable first eleven and an equally good bench, if you intend to do well. For that reason KPB's inclusion in the team will only be to the advantage of Ghana. Don't forget that there will be - yellow cards, fatigue and injuries, that is why your bench must be good. You want substitutes who can perform creditably. For that I think KPB is a very important addition.

I am glad that at least a sensible observer like yourself has come out to talk some sense into the heads of the rather myopic fans blindly seeking the exclusion of a player of KPB's pedigree. I am glad Kwesi Appiah is no fool and thinks out of the box. It is nonsense, who is Kevin Prince Boateng who has not done anything to be even invited. Only a useless coach, taking money from players will still force that useless boy into the national team. I am saying this because this boy has not played any of the matches until now. when he realized that the national team is approaching world cup then the problems he has when playing the qualifying league got changed to be better. The coach will want to, but I don't think ghanaians will sit down for Kevin to be selected to the world cup. There are already better players to the position he thinks he is there for, so the coach has to drop him.

Tactics involves:CUNNINGNESS,CRAFTINESS,SUBTLETY ETC.

Ghana's coaches should choose STRATEGIC MEANS RATHER THAN TACTICAL APPROACH,to win the ball game ahead.

now that it has been drummed into the head of players like dede, sule, wakaso, badu jordan that it is not automatic that you should start, there should be no headache.
based on ball controlling and passing perfection, and team work mentality, no coach worth his sort will put players like eesien & kvp on the bench looking @ the players we have. it is possible kwesi appiah will implement his long cherish vision of starting kwadwo asamoah as a left full back. or being a second leg, it is possible kwesi appiah will play with only one striker meaning either warris or djan will sit on the bench leaving more room to use midfielders.

another eg
KBP is a Player of good Speed- you can choose to bring him in at a time your Opponent are getting tired to run , force them to commit fauls that is how you can Show good Football and superiority

“Everybody is given up his best and we’re very happy". This in English means "no one wants to give his best and we are very happy" . So lazy Ghanaian journalists know how you construct your sentences. If you can't form simple English sentences, then write in your local dialects, or you become a laughing stock. Or is the writer one of those Ashantis who can't speak simple English?. I'm always so embarrassed when they turn up on television. The other day one of their uneducated chiefs was on one of the channels pronouncing 'rainbow' as 'lenbo', 'Craig' as 'Clayg', 'Cross fire' as Closs fire'. At the end of it all the programme moderator had to avoid asking him questions. You can visibly see the embarrassment on the face of the moderator. Their women are particularly guilty of mispronunciations.

Keeping the middlefield tight and of course a very strong expereince defence.
