I was alive and I can tell you that Ghana had grounded to a halt BECAUSE OF THE OIL CRISIS IN 1978 and Akuffo and co were doing their best to normalise relationship with countries that Acheampong had blatantly refused to pay back our borrowed cash to. So you think Akuffo wasn't corrupt? the only reason why I now regret their death is the fact that the knuckle-draggers that are Ghanaians never learn, which is why corruption has become an overwhelming burden.

Recently JJR came out to justify those killings; I wish he never took delight in such liberties because it is very unwise and completely stupid. The reason is that, he hasn't eradicated corruption, far from it, when he could have.

In Ghana we like to play heroes upon out nullity and lack of intelligence. I read the other day here on ghanaweb.com an interview with Limann, and while he appeared intelligent in his discourse, he failed to tell the person interviewing him he wasn't in control of his ministers. Or to tell it otherwise, Limann was controlled to the point he wasn't the one ruling.

In effect it was de Graft Johnson, Bekoe and Batsa who were stealing everything just under one year of being in office. Limann was a great statesman and a gentleman. Kofi Batsa owned Astab Group of Companies; spell Batsa backwards and you will see the truth.

My point in this retrospective referral is to point out how crooked we all are in recounting tales to others. We all lie.

I don't know how old s/he is but denying that this kind of things such as depravation, corruption in form of Kalabule never happened in GH in the 70s, is a pure imagination & denial of the existence of our motherland. My problem with my ashanti enemies is that they are still in the era of "Stones" that have filled their head so they can't have an honest discourse about our motherland. It is sad and we have journey to go with gorillas unfortunately.
