  Working to cleanse the rot from society
  But oftentimes brutal in pursuit of their objective
  Then hand over after probably messing up the situation further."
  
  What a poor understanding of democracy if people are dreaming of soldiers controlling government. If there is corruption - fight it with civilized methods. If there is injustice, go onto the streets and organize demonstrations.
  Freedom and a stable democracy can never be based on arms and guns.
  GONE SHOULD BE THE DAYS, when such poems have been written.

  Gone were the days when Kumawuman was united and proudly boast of our bravery in the annals of Asanteman history. Now thanks to litigations and unfounded allegations by John Fosu aka Adofo Rockson ans his nation wreckers in the persons of Joe Fry, Dr. Duffour, Kusi of Ureta Hotel, Edusei, and their Ananangya/Odumase bunch, Kumawuman's image is tarnished and quality of life is sinking fast.

  Growing up, I had no illusion that the world was perfect. We were given directions to "walk past the Hausa man selling shoes at the street corner and the big store owned by the Kwahu man to the Ga lady selling Ga kenkey." We played together because we lived in a compound house. Some never had enough to eat because they could not swallow big boluses. We didn't steal because the nkonkonsa neighbour was lurking around. The office bosses used the workers as emissaries. As for those coups, they disrupted our classes. The only good thing was the healthy respect that we had for others. We spoke different languages yet we communicated. We never failed to greet each other as we walked past. At the back of everyone's mind was the marketplace.
