  Adofo, I have read most of your posts over the years regarding the Kumawu chiftaincy affairs. I am not from Kumawu area but I am an ardent follower of Asante history- hence my interest in the developments in Kumawu. It is hard for me to pass any judgement on this issue, since I don't have much information from the other side. I can only rely on the few information that you disseminate on this forum every now and then. I appreciate your efforts to tell your side of the story. I have also read the section of R.S Rattray's book about Kumawu, and so I can see why you feel so disappointed with Asantehene. The facts may be on your side but I can also see that the odds are stacked heavily against your royal family, as you are up against not only Asantehene but also the NDC government who may feel it is payback time to return the favour to Asantehene for the role he performed in the election dispute last year. So all I can say is that "GOODLUCK". May the Lord help you in your quest for justice

  Omanbapa, first af all let me state categorically to you that I am NOT Adofo. I am not from Kumawu area but an Asante who, for some reason, finds the whole Kumawu saga as a travesty of justice. So far all the narratives we've heard from this matter have come from Adofo, with occasional rebuttals from people like you from Apemso who have a huge grudge with Tweneboah Kodua family for the ungrateful manner Adofoahye and his kingsmen stabbed Nana Siaw in the back and took control of the territory which eventually became Kumawu. I understand your bitterness as you were the original owners of the land before it became Kumawu. However, do not lose site of the fact that the current ruling class, Ankaase, is totally UNRELATED to the royal family of Nana Tweneboah Koduah of Kumawu who sacrificed his soul to save the Asante Kingdom. Ankaase family has been occupying the throne for several years but they are not from the bloodline of Tweneboah Koduah. I don't want to go into the sordid details of what caused this dangerous shift here for now. I hope you know that despite them occupying the throne for over hundred years, none of the kings from that family was ever inducted after their deaths, except Otuo Acheampong who was the first to be inducted. There is a reason for that. In the old days, the people of Kumawu never considered them as royals. So they may have the throne today but they should never call themselves as descendants of Tweneboah Koduah

  It took only Adofoahyee as a leader of the immigrants from Essumja and the demise of his mother Maama Senifontom, borrowing ornaments from Apemso palace and his refusal to return them to stage a deadly and barbaric coup d'tat against Apemso royals to crown themselves as rulers of Apemso. All the gods, oracles, rivers, mountains, spirits of the departed and the people of the land were against their despicable act and has ever since been under curse. Remember The PAPA festival and its meaning? The Adomakopim's lost the Krontire title because Nana Adomakopim, the then Krontihene of Apemso rebuked Adofoahyee and his folks harshly. APEMSO stood toe-to-toe with Kwamang, present day Kumasi. Because of the curse upon these folks, the "kum" tree at Apemso did not flourish, hence "kum awu"/ The kum tree died. That of Kwamang flourished and people rested and played under its shades like canopy over their heads. Talk about a cursed people: Okotere Fenini and the Enchanted Bull of Asanteman; his Odumase lineage including Joe Fry has been banned forever by Asanteman Council NEVER TO OCCOPY THE PARAMOUNTCY OF KUMAWUMAN. The ban is still in force.
  
  Thank God for The Ankaase Royals under whom ALL MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS has taken place in Kumawuman. Whether Barima Otuo Acheampong is the only one inducted or not, he is from Ankaase and has solidified their royalty; YES, the move by Otumfour's brother-in-law Dabo has the blessing of the gods, oracles and the people of the land, hence their long reign on the throne. If Adofoahyee's descendants from Essumja can call themselves "royals" of Kumawu despite their despicable genocide against The Apemso Royals, then The Ankaase Royalty is more glorious and acceptable because they did not spill innocent blood, HENCE THEIR LONG REIGN ON THE THRONE.

  kumawu does not need division, the place is under-developed as a district capital fought for by the then Barima Asumadu Sakyi 11, he never saw it , let us give him that respect. rumor or no rumor kumawuman must move on. enough of these propaganda machine set to destroy the well being of the kumawu people, we love and cherish kumawu so much,the people of kumawu are ready to go with anyone chosen to lead us to the promise land, be Dr. Sarfo or Nana Sarpong.
