I write to you in this forum because I know for a fact that you have overstepped your boundary. Additionally, I will confidently posit that you have made serious allegations in your piece of article. I would strongly advise you to immediately retain a lawyer who could assist you to get out of this mess. You might have some difficulties if the occupant of the Golden Stool, Asantehene Nana Kwaku Duah decides to seek redress in the court of law for the entire allegation you have leveled against him.
Again, I might add Mr. Rockson; you have to have courtesy to maintain decorum when you are talking about an elder in your community. Evidently you have some hurt because you think a ruling on chieftaincy dispute did not go your way. Even if it were so, you could respectfully address the issue.
I would hope you will take time to ponder over this piece of advice.

Adofoahyee contested for the throne of Essumja after the demise of Nana Tete Kwaforamoah. He lost the contest to another royal called Kwaku Gyebi Kankanko. Instead of giving his support to the new chief for the eventual welfare of the community, Adofoahyee incited his supporters and left home, that is Essumja and camped at Sebedia near Kokofu. As Adofoahyee and his supporters were hatching a plot to destool Nana Kwaku Gyebi, Nana Gyebi sent his state executioners to bring back Adofoahyee and his followers to Essumja to be charged with treason. Adofoahyee and his men heard of this and they quickly left Sebedia to Adanse Ahensan. After a while, they left Ahensan and settled at Penimase near Kumasi. They were not warmly received there so after a short period left Penimase to Abodom. From Abodom they moved to Tikrom near Adarko-Gyakye. From Tikrom they moved to Abira. At Abira one of Adofoahyee's men called Otwee-su-Agyae had a sexual act with a young woman bethrothed to one of the sub-chiefs of Abira, hence Otwee-su-Agyae was beheaded. Adofoahyee and his followers sensed danger and left Abira to Dadiease-Tanoso within Apemso stooland or jurisdiction
Adofoahyee and his men sought audience with Nana Kofi Siaw, Apemsohene through Nana Adomakopim , Krontihene of Apemso. Nana Adomakopim introduced them as his kinsfolks and were of the Aduana clan. Adofoahyee gave detailed account of their movements from Essumja and how they had arrived from Abira. Nana Kofi Siaw received them with open arms and thence forward a strong bond of friendship developed among them.
Nana Kofi Siaw gave instruction for them (Adofoahyee and his followers) be taken to Oboten the south of Akwasua village to settle. The emissories from Essumja did indeed arrive at Apemso, but Nana Siaw denied having seen any immigrants from Essumja in his kingdom, therefore the emissories went back. Some time elapsed and when there was no fear that Nana Gyebi Kankanko would be after them, Nana Siaw brought them back and settled them at Papaase.
Nana Kofi Siaw of Apemso died of old age and was succeeded by his brother Nana Kwasi Aboagye. Adofoahyee's mother called Maame Senifontom died and he used the occasion to hatch a plot against the Apemso royals. Adofoahyee borrowed ceremonial ornaments frpm Apemso palace to decorate the corpse. Several weeks after the funeral, Nana Aboagye sent to Adofoahyee to demand the ornaments' return. Adofoahyee sent a message back to Nana Aboagye that he burried the corpse with the ornaments. This perfidy on Adofoahyee's part enraged Nana Aboagye and ordered his men to retrive the ornaments from the grave. Adofoahyee and his men seized the opportunity and mercilessly attacked the Apemso chief and his men, killed and maimed them. Nana Kwasi Aboagye was seriously wounded and died of his wounds at Aboofrem where he was receiving herbal medicine. These immigrants from Essumja quickly crowned themselves rulers of Apemso against the wishes of the people. Nana Adomakopim, Krontihene rebuked them and for that reason was stripped off his Kontire title. The APEMSO ROYALS who were left escaped death, mostly women, to other parts of the country including but not limited to Adubiase, Amanten, Patriensa, and even to Anomabo in Fanteland. Others went to Koforidua and as far as Volta region who still maintain their Ashanti culture and customs.
These are the Ananangya / Odumase folks from Essumja who were saved and protected by Nana Kofi Siaw and that is how they rewarded them. The household gods and ancestral spirits of Apemso were outraged by the treasonable act of Adofoahyee and vowed vengeance by exterminating the entire settler community from Essumja who were also referred to as Abirafo). They were cursed and started dying untimely deaths one by one at short intervals. To expiate the abominable crome commited by Adofoahyee, the spirits demanded that he should sacrifice one of his own people annually at his residence at Papaase; same was obeyed and continued until the British assumed power and abolished human sacrifice. Thereafter bulls were substituted and the self appointed chief humiliated with three strokes of the cane in the open for all to see. This is what has been termed PAPA (goodness) festival. That is the curse that has followed these folks from Essumja ever since. NO MAJOR DEVELOPMENT HAS HAPPENED UNDER THEIR ADMINISTRATION, PERIOD. "Kum" tree to determine the capital of Asante died during their reign, hence KUM-AWU (Kum has died).
Okotere Fenini, chief of Kumawu from the Odumase folks caused Asantes to loose the Banda war as Commander-in chief, by offering his own "daga"/ knife to kill the enchanted bull which was under magic spell to act as a mascot for the Asante army.
It was upon these backdrop that Nana Kodua Kokoo, upon consultation with the oracles brought in The Mediator, Maama Ayo from whom emerged The Ankaase royals. The Ankaase royals attained power by their association with The GOLDEN STOOL; while The Ananangya/Odumase's attained power by killing The Apemso royals. Stability and progress returned to Kumawu under the Ankaase royals and has always been the case. This is evident by their long reign on the stool. Every Kumawu citizen who wants to face fact and tell the truth will testify to this fact. The Odumase's has been banned; The Ananagya's are either destooled after few years on the stool, eg. Barima Kwaku Boateng - 1917-1921 (4yrs):destooled; Barima Kwabena Kodua of Ananangya 1922-1925 (3yrs): destooled; Barima Seth Kodua of Ananangya 1944-1949 (5yrs): destooled.
Consider those of Ankaase:
Barima Kwasi Krapah 1869-1895 (26yrs); abdicated on ill-health;
Barima Kwame Afram 1895-1917 (22yrs): destooled; re-enstooled 1925-1944(19 more years): destooled
Barima Otuo Acheampong 1950-1973(23yrs): died on the stool;
Barima Asumadu Sakyi II 1973-2007(34yrs): died on the stool.
Do the math and draw your own conclusion. If Rockson Adofo aka John Fosu is exhibiting traits of his departed ancesters, I'm not surprised at all; very ungrateful and sore loosers. It was Barima Otuo Acheampong who created Aduanahene stool for the Odumase folks in order to accord them some form of recognition, yet they have turned against The Ankaase royals.
The Ananangya/Odumase folks should remember this: "sSE ONYAME ANNSI WO HENE NA WOFA AHENKYE SOA A, ESO WO KWA, NA SE NFRAMA NSO DE4 HUUHUU FA ADIE A, ONNNYA!"" We The People are content with what we have enjoyed under The Ankaase royals. YOU GUYS HAS TWARTED THEIR EFFORTS WITH LITIGATIONS for over 40 YEARS, and we say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! If you guya can't take the heat, please get out of the kitchen. DOCTOR IS OUR CHOICE, PERIOD. If you have guts, come down to Kumawu and take him off the stool.
All thatyou are wishing on Otumfour will visit you ten fold. It was your Ananangya / Odumase folks who invoked Otumfour's great oath to get His Majesty into your mess in the first place. Were there not elders in our community who could have settled our differences as in every family? Shame on you guys, you sore loosers from Essumja who reward goodness with evil; that is manifesting itself again by your gross disrespect to out leaders and elders. SHAME ON YOU ALL; may God forgive you. BUT be warned that any attempt tyo drag this into another YEATEASEM saga at the expense of the poor and good people of Kumawu will be resisted fiercely.
