It is a major exception to the hearsay rule that the content of a letter is admissible (self-authenticating) if it recounts verifiable facts or is a recordation of present sense impressions. You are persistently asking for irrelevant details to authenticate a letter which will be accepted by the highest court of the land; hence my decision to ignore you.
3. You should spend some of your useful time advising the Nkrumaists to cease their insults. They don't have any monopoly over the art form.

"Although he has suffered reverses abroad, Nkrumah still reigns supreme in Ghana; he is the personification and living symbol of his nation and its people. he has achieved this position in part through his genuinely charismatic quality and the manner in which his considerable vanity has exploited every means of keeping his name before the public. His official title is "Osagyefo" (The Redeemer), and there are overtones of deification in the ad61ation which he sanctions and probably encourages. Nkrumah's name and likeness are everywhere in Ghana -- on its currency, postage stamps,' street names, statues, and schools, and in "Nkrumahism," the murky and confused embodiment of his Marxist Leninist-African socialist-religious philosophies.
Despite Nkrumah's encouragement of the cult of personality and his genuine popularity with many of his people, his position has been frequently challenged and he has been the object of several assassination attempts. Overt political opposition has been suppressed over the years since Nkrumah came to power, however, and there is at present no known organized group within the country which is soon likely to have the capability to overthrow him. There is some resentment of Nkrumah's pro-Communist policies within the military and several coup plots have been under consideration in the past two years, but the armed forces have so far been unwilling to take a step which is not in character with their apolitical position. Popular dissatisfaction is on the rise, however, due to the growing impact of Ghana's disastrous financial policies, and the greatest potential threat to Nkrumah's continued rule lies in the country's deteriorating economy.
Nkrumah is well aware, despite his egocentric nature and the fact• that he is surrounded by sycophants, that he is not universally loved. As a result of a number of assassination attempts -- at least two of which were almost successful -- he has an obsessive fear for his personal safety and has surrounded himself with a number of safeguards, including the President's Own Guard Regiment (POGR). The POGR, although nominally part of the army, is directly responsible to Nkrumah, and its commander and personnel of its battalion (now being expanded to two) have been chosen for their loyalty to him. The PQGR is equipped in part with Soviet materiel -- the only army unit to be so provided -- and several Soviet security officers are on hand. Because of his own anti-Western, ant capitalist beliefs, Nkrumah tends to attribute any and all opposition to the intrigues of imperialists and neocolonialists, and he is apparently convinced that the US is actively attempting to bring about his downfall.
He is also extremely distrustful of the security forces and suspects -- with some reason -- that certain of their leaders have contemplated removing him. To forestall such attempts, the police were disarmed following the January 1964 assassination attempt, and in mid-1965 Nkrumah abruptly dismissed the two top army officers, replacing them with men in whom he has more confidence -- although it remains to be 'seen how long they will retain their positions in view of Nkrumah's highly suspicious nature. In September 1965, he was presented with the Supreme Commander's Baton of Office, a gesture intended to emphasize that he is the operational commander of the i.armed forces. His latest move to curtail the power of the military was the creation in December of a "people's militia," supposedly formed to prepare for armed action against Rhodesia but apparently intended to provide a counterforce to the army.
Whether this new organization will ever be one, however, seems highly questionable."

But persons who are serious about facts on Ghanaweb deserve information that is above-board, and "checkable". If SAS provided the source of one of his last essays as "GhanaDisrict.com", he ought to be able to provide the source of that so-called Danquah letter, a copy in this case. Failing that, we will continue to hold that the letter is bogus ("fraudulent", to borrow your word).
Then there is the other matter of tone!

Please, go to the web to check out "self-authenticating documents" and "present sense impression" as they apply to the general rules of evidence, and you will see that they are universal principles of evidentiary law. You will discover also that the requirements you ask do not necessarily apply to all sets of documents.
And you don't need to be in a court to accept a document that is acceptable in a court. The court is a good standard for weighing every evidence, and you cannot set a higher one. I repeat that there is no need to produce the originals of a letter before it is considered admissible.
Can't you figure out the wisdom of accepting Danquah's letter as true? Its content references actual facts and occurrences of the times. Besides, what is the likelihood that somebody will sit down and write these things for Danquah? Finally, the letter has been profusely quoted in treatises and newspapers and commissions of inquiry. The foregoing are the reasons why the letter is deemed self-authenticating.
But I can understand that these things might be confusing to you. You are an Nkrumaist, not a lawyer.

2. This is the same document that tells you several coup d'etats had been formulated 2 years prior to Nkrumah's overthrow.
3. Obviously, they knew more than most Ghana-centered Ghanaians, perhaps including Nkrumah knew, at that time.
4. In the proper language, it is called "subversion", of a foreign government.

I am reminded of the refrain of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah when launching the Convention People’s Party (CPP) in Accra on 12 June 1949. He said then that :

Remember Nkrumah was operating out of Accra and he stood in a constituency there. It was arranged that he should stand there in Accra and even though he was in prison then, his people campaigned for him.
Perhaps Francis Kwarteng, Paul or Andy-K may know the correct answer but I suspect strongly that it was in Accra.

Some of us have long since ceased to take SAS seriously when he writes CERTAIN things. He has produced some fine stuff in the past and is still capable of doing so.
First we were worried by his abusive language on this forum. Then we took it all as jokes in good faith. But now, we don't quite know how to place him - a comedian or what?
Even if it is all a joke, if it is consistently done even in serious matters, then we get confused. Some of us were trained from home never to use even a tenth part of the abusive language SAS employs on this forum - NOT EVEN AS JOKES! But for him, they come so easily...
Of course, there can be expensive academic jokes - ones that require intelligence to appreciate (like Winston Churchill was so good at) but SAS's insults are often coarse and common place. He has no qualms about releasing them. Some of them are pure "market women" insults that are difficult to associate with someone who is a graduate of your alma mater - a school Iv'e been told is a great historically black college.
Now, it seems SAS has gone so far on this road that he will find it difficult to make an about turn. If I were a believing Christian, I would pray for him.
But the good thing about ghanaweb is that, there are still many noble and serious contributors here. Even with this Nkrumah debate, you can read from very decent and well-informed contributors from BOTH sides. I have in mind the likes of G. K. Berko, Kwadwo, Paul, LONTO-BOY, Kwesi Atta Sakyi, Pelicles (yes, he too), your hallowed self, Prof Lungu, (and dare I add my most humble self?)... These are guys who will never be caught using a foul word on this forum. They are the ones for which some of us keep coming back on this forum and looking through the comments section.
I pray that SAS will gradually see reason and come back to the serious path that his academic standing (which we are always being reminded of) requires him to take. There is no need to always resort to insults and coarse language to put your points across. If you do that, especially on a continuous basis, you share spot with the lowest common denominators on this forum. Then when you have something more serious and worthy to say, people won't listen...

We are inclined to believe that many Ghanaweb contributors and readers will agree that on balance, they have been inundated with a whole lot more outrageous, opinionated statements from Dr. Samuel Adjei-Sarfo with respect to the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah record.
In our Part I, we pleaded with Dr. Adjei-Sarfo for a certain amount of self reflection, respect, and attention to our shared TSU tradition, as exemplified by records of Mickey Leyland, Barbara Jordan, Chief Justice Thurgood Marshall, etc. Obviously, this was based on our opinion that those 3 elements/values have been missing from Dr. Adjei-Sarfo's essays in recent months, regarding Dr. Nkrumah.
Closely related to the three "values" is "Fairness".
You know that the Ghanaweb Forum is not a Court of Law and, that it is very easy to show a document to the masses, if one holds "the" key card.
A copy of that letter ought to be shown to folks who want to see it. Or, we will still be entitled to our opinion that the letter is bogus. (In fact, in any other economy, that letter, if it actually existed, would be worth a lot of money).
You know also that the Ghanaweb Forum is not an academic journal, or a process of that sort - with peer reviews and organized libraries.
Significantly, we believe that a lot more people on Ghanaweb are outside the academy, than inside. It is those people, really, who are of primary interest to Prof Lungu. This may sound patronizing, even "high-horse", to you and many others. Understand, still, that is one of the ways we've chosen to contribute towards a larger situational awareness grounded in Ghana-centeredness.
Further, with respect to the Dr. Nkrumah question, we do not come to this forum as an expert on the history of Ghana, or even, as scholars, per se. That, we leave to others in the academy who have access to a lot more sources than we could even begin to say "Fairness."
(When those people do not contribute and are aware of the on-going discourse, we could in fairness argue that they have expressed and opinion, by default).
So, whenever we can, we will not vacate the discourse entirely to those who appear to, or actually, approach the topic from the position of a birthright, a privilege, or location of their birth. That, we believe, is the essence of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and what he represents to all the People of Ghana. This way, opinions always will matter, necessarily!
All that said, if you, Dr. Kwabena Akurang-Parry, could show us one or two (more, if available) examples where we have been unfair to Dr. Samuel Adjei Sarfo, we will willingly consider your opinion, and will consider rendering an apology to Dr. Samuel Adjei Sarfo.
We will await a response, even if this essay is quickly archived by Ghanaweb.com.
