NPP did not win 2008 and 2012 not only because Ghanaians don't want Nana Addo as president.In my modest opinion,I will say that NPP did not help him.They messed up the campaign for Nana Addo.The campaign strategy was ineffective,it relied so much on Kuffour's legacy.Remember Kuffour was not running so why used him as a reference point?That was a total blunder.NPP did the same mistake in 2012 by relying so much on Free SHS.It is a very good policy but you can't use a single policy to win general elections and most importantly students in SHS are mostly below the age of 18,they are not eligible voters.Therefore,the campaign strategy was ineffective.That is the reason why they lost.There is another factor that the matured politicians in NPP should know.The nomination of Bawumia in itself is not tactical.There were some voices who warned Nana Addo about it.I also disagree with the author by saying there is no capable presidential candidate in NPP who can replace Nana Addo until 2024.As for me,I will not say that NPP will lose 2016 in the first place but if they want to win it will better for them to change Bawumia now before its too late.The party should not send 2 elections petitioners to contest Mahama in 2016,it's illogical.I'm saying this because it will give NDC any reason to reject the results if they lose in 2016.NPP can't also tell anybody again that the elections was rigged.Thank you.
