A very good piece in support of inroad/project which started successfully a decade ago by Obuasi Mines . It's useful to note too that the project is still ongoing with some 'active spraying' in at least 10 Districts. The project should have been replicated from the outset given what we all know is the devastation that tiny insect causes globally.
Unfortunately there's a lot happening elsewhere in the world and the use of pesticides/sprays/insecticides is no longer the first choice to rid of the Mosquito menace. There are certainly equally effective and environmentally friendly ways to fight the menace such as using solar powered devices to attract and consume the little devils. These come in various sizes and could be used on the farms ( other insects) as well as large sleeping areas/dormitories. Do check these out via the usual search engines.
