  If we can lay gas pipes under the sea from Nigeria to Ghana,from Atuabo to Adoadze then ofcourse we can do the same for water to run from Ada to Akosombo.Fantastic idea,the VRA has no right to reject this novelty.Thank you.

  Has he considered the salinity of the sea water, land compensation, energy required to get sea water flowing upstream, attendant tariff increment, etc, etc? Ordinarily if one blocks his mind, this could easily be done without ...

  Has he considered the salinity of the sea water, land compensation, energy required to get sea water flowing upstream, attendant tariff increment, etc, etc? Ordinarily if one blocks his mind, this could easily be done without much fuss. However it is easier said than one! Let's keep on brain-storming and be patience for a longterm solution.

  You raise legitimate concerns, however, what is land compensation when the whole country's economy is on it's knees? They should just go ahead and grab any land required for this purpose and think about compensation later. The Chinese would do this without thinking twice about it.
  The question on salinity is a good one and should be discouraged at all costs due to it's environmental impact on fresh water life, farming, drinking water etc.
  
  Energy to power these massive water pumps is no brainer. Get a megawatt or two from Akosombo to do the job, can't think of any other way.
  
  What I'd like to know is why we don't recycle some of the water that flows out of the dam? I'd appreciate a sound technical reason as to why it isn't feasible. Anyone?

  Yes its good idea even if they can return the water that has left the turbine and going to the sea to go back to the dam again like an electric motor pumping back water to a fountain.
