You of course prefer your northern proverb and the stench which it encourages. I live in Ghana and I am so grateful to this "Canadian" for pointing his left hand to this rotten HOUSE of GHANA which is smelling with all the stench that this "Canadian" Good Samaritan has pointed out to us! A word to the wise is (normally) enough. God Save Ghana from its STENCH !!

The one word that is missing from the vocabulary of Mahama critics and the mostly Kufour worshippers is sustainability. For those in the Diaspora who ought to know but hide their heads in the tribal sands, please know that those beautiful nations you now call home do have laws and institutions in place to help sustain best practices and procedures of government with all the tools to help solve problem of national disasters be it economic or otherwise.

Anyone who believes in a Kufour miracle fail to ask why an implied good government that expended resources to restore the status of criminals and saboteurs to heroic ones could not and never wrote into laws of the government good practices and procedures that will ensure sustainability of the good? Folks what is good about a country cannot be fleeting they're sustained by laws and institutions. Ghana is bad today because it was bad yesterday. Voters did not change government in 2009 because Kufour and or the NPP were good; we changed because of the evils of tribalism of the worst kind and stealth stealing and mismanagement that could make foul mouth people like Kennedy Agyapong bold in Ghana. Learn about sustainability all those who come to visit with us and leave unchanged.

I have also just returned from Ghana. Although times are are hard and there is so much filth, open smelly gutters, unemployment, etc. etc in the country one has to put things in perspective. You cannot compare Ghana to Canada ...

You cannot compare Ghana to Canada. Canadians spend their currency for everything. For us in Ghana we have to earn the dollars to import most basic things.
How do we generate the foreign currency? By selling primary products whose prices we do not control. Gold, cocoa, oil and other commodities are all down. Any government facing these problems would find the going tough. A lot of African countries, including South Africa, Nigeria and Tanzania are facing similar problems.
We should give some credit to the government for trying to steer us through these choppy waters. They have solved the Dumsor. They are building roads, schools health facilities all over the country. There is room for improvement.
As for the weather your comment about it is misplaced. That is natural

He was just STATING what he SAW in GHANA during his visit to the country.And what he saw is REAL and TRUE. The weather of course is normally HOT and DRY during the harmattan dry season. But due to climate changes, the temperature in this period has risen abnormally in Ghana just as in other West African countries. The writer duly observed this and stated it. What is wrong with that ? For the rest unless you prefer to live in corruption and filth, then continue to criticize those who are trying to help Ghanaians to see exactly what is going on in our dear country which is in a mess.
