Only the shallow-minded would vindictively demonize those who stood up against Akufo-Addo's 3rd serial quest for the Presidency.

Has it occurred to those who are insulting Arthur Kennedy and others, like me, who were, and may still be, very concerned about the obvious flaws in Akufo-Addo's campaign that the criticisms we leveled against the President-Elect could guide him to perform even better than he might have?

It takes such a persistent barrage of the seeker of the highest Office in our Land to tune him up to the seriousness of the responsibility he was seeking, and the fact that people would be watching him closely to deliver on his promises.

I, for one, was most concerned with his perceived intolerance, even within the NPP, his bigotry as portrayed in his "Yen Akanfo de...'All die be die'.." and the 'Simpa Payin' comments, and his aloofness to the denial of Justice to the 40-plus Citizens who were massacred along with the Ya Naa.

These flaws I perceived in Akufo-Addo still bother me, despite his win. If the majority has offered him his lifetime wish to become the President, he is bound to deliver on his promise and prove me and all, like Arthur Kennedy, wrong on the concerns we have. It is our inalienable right to make our concerns transparent and criticize Akufo-Addo who was going to be and has become our President for a period.

If he rises above our concerns, I would be among the first to congratulate him and gratefully commend him for his performance. But until then, I will remain skeptic, because I have not seen any serious commitment from him to assuage my fears, yet. It is only fair that I and the Arthur Kennedys out there give him some time to prove his mettle as he has claimed to possess.

That is our way of ensuring Ghana gets the best leaders she deserves to lead her.

The insults lashed at us for doubting Akufo-Addo's competence for the Presidency only go to reinforce our reasons to remain skeptic. His supporters must not lose the fact that winning the Presidency is one thing, and performing as a candidate promised is another.

We can all wish him the best because the Nation belongs to us all. But we cannot indulge in any self-guilt for pointing out his flaws and expressing our concerns for them. And on that note, Arthur Kennedy does not deserve to be insulted and harassed by Akufo-Addo's supporters.

It is surprising that everybody is insulting Arthur Kennedy. Yes he might have critiqued Nana and perhaps unproductively, yelling insults at him is neither prudent. He is a Ghanaian and is entitled to his opinions, so Nana is the President elect and entitled to surround himself with people who appreciate him. Arthur K is a successful Physician and dos not need political appointment to change his life. Let him continue to be a Ghanaian with the right to criticize anybody he wants to and let the President lead and with the mandate he has won. But screaming, insulting and name calling does not get anybody anywhere. Life is never stagnant and nobody stays at the top all the time as Mahama and his babies with sharp teeth have learnt. It is only God who appoints and sustains, so let us tone down and enjoy now, tolerate our critics as well as friend and let posterity judge our success.

My beef with this man and his acolytes, Dr. Wereko Brobbey and Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe, is that, they are fiercely shameless in the demolition work assigned, contracted, promised them by their paymasters. They have relentlessly and consistently attacked the person of Nana Addo and denigrated the party, the NPP, which gave him the overwhelming mandate to lead. However vile and vicious their collective attacks had been, the Good Lord spoke at the right time. He has dispersed the destructive forces and sent them away empty.
