Any president or government who tries to create any region is divisive and not a unity-oriented leader to bring Ghanaians to together. If you want geographical development for a certain area in Ghana, you create a district or municipality and not region because all the dirty works on ground are done by the districts. Regions are just mere administrative offices with no serious work for humanity. It is better for people to ask for more creations of districts and municipalities for betterment of their lives rather than regions.

Even hospital beds for some of the hospitals in Volta north are being used in hospitals in some southern towns. One nurse who didn't know of that politics ever asked her boss in Ho that why are these hospital equipment bearing the names of cities in the Volta north and yet you people are using it here. The ethnocentric answer given by the boss will shock you, and yet we turn to accuse other people of tribalism. When the woman, knowing that I am from Volta north told me about that story I was down to the core, despite the fact that I knew that that situation had been existing since independence. No region in Ghana will do that against their colleagues, except in Volta region. It is just simple! We thank Nana Akuffo Addo for his decision to create the Oti Region. Every person from that area should bury his differences with another person and support the idea. Many Ghanaians don't know what is happening in Volta Region because that place has not been so much attention of our Media, but an investigative journalist can go there and conduct an investigation to know the extent to which the Volta north has been neglected. I don't know who is even saying the whole region is one people. One people and you guys treat others like this? We are going to have our own region. Enough is enough. thanks Prof.

In actual fact my region is the most populous region in Ghana and by size far bigger than VR so if we are not thinking of splitting the Ashanti region why then VR?
