Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Winful Cobinna has indicated it’s been hard to let go the memories of their 5-0 thrashing by WAFA in the Ghana Premier League Match Day 17.
Accra Hearts of oak were beaten to the pulp by the young Academy Boys in Sogakope.
The Phobians who until then were on a run of good form, going eight games unbeaten were shell shocked on the day.
Cobinna who is part of the Black Stars team ahead of the game against Ethiopia has asked his teammates to stay positive ahead of Friday’s game against Bolga All Stars.
“In football anything can happen but our problem was that the goals were too much,” Cobbinah said.
“On that day nothing worked for us. WAFA has a good team, we outplayed and beat them in Accra, so playing them at their home we were hopeful of our chances because we have gone eight games without a defeat, but in the game we failed to glitter, so we will make redeem ourselves in our next league.”
Accra Hearts of Oak are third on the table with 27 points after 17 games and will need a win in Accra today to continue with their pursuit of a league title since 2009.
