  In Ghana where many people don’t have access to emergency treatment due to distance to the nearest clinics or hospitals, people must be taught what to do temporarily in case of poisoning until they get to the hospital. In some cases it is good to induce forced vomiting based on what is ingested. In other cases , people can ingest activated charcoal to slow down the digestion of the ingested product.
