    Loooooong overdue. In the United States and other advanced European countries people with General Arts and Visual Arts, etc backgrounds are allowed to pursue medicine. Better late than never.

    Unfortunately this was not what the minister was alluding to. The minister specifically was speaking on the issue of physician assistants and nurses training to be doctors.

    In the UK historians and artists can train as medical doctors. Currently in the UK,the study of medicine is modelled on apprenticeship pathway where a student understudy a consultant with sandwich classroom studies.

    Basic qualifications for BSc Nursing is General Science from SHS in Ghana, but but somebody with a general Arts at SHS will qualify to do BSc Nursing with Diploma Nursing as a basic qualifications .
